Remeber the pci-e power reserve is REALLY small, and there is no safety with it.
Meaning your copper wires in the pcb of the mobo burns up (done it to four mobos)

Never had any troubles with the risers i made after following nut´s guide

with this I have 750kH per 7970, but only 350kH per 7870 :'( .

I know I can get close to 450kH per 7870 with intensity at 19.
It works well if I unplug the 7970.

My problem is that when I try to mix card and intensity I have got a lot of refused proof of work on 7870 and hashrate is reduced to 600kH on 7970.

I am thinking to replace my 7870 by a 7970, but before that, I would like to know if you have any idea to fix this.

You have to optimize your script with separation by commas like you have for intensity already but you have to “program” each card via comma separation for intensity, shaders, thread concurrency etc, engine clock, mem clock, and everything else. Configure each card based on their optimum values and you should be able to run very happily on a mixed system.

Yes, but it depends on the PSU, the connectors, and the rails. I have 2x 7970s running at about 175w each

Coinotron runs a very stable and trusted pool (and it’s one of the biggest that us little guys aspire too), if you do have concerns though, i would try to contact him directly.

Not sure where you are based but if you were to switch pools, we also have a Tokyo based stratum server that may suit you better than the standard US/UK servers. ;)

It’s about a 50 watt per card savings on those 7950’s. The screeny reads about 500 watt pull. It went down from just under 600. The core is slightly over clocked but I didn’t touch the ram. I don’t like to OC but if I do, I usually only OC the processor as it’s easier to cool with just a good thermal compound under the heat sink.

edit: Actually for real numbers I just realized. Each card under this config core voltage 1.084, core clock 1050, ram clock 1250 (stock), each card pulls about 200 watts and produces 620-630 kh/s give or take.

Not to sure, i personally use cgminer which doesn’t report this.
Maybe someone else with bfgminer can answer this.

However keep in mind that we at nut2pools use 256diff, which means you get a lot less accepted shares vs for example 64diff.
However everyone has 256diff, and the share is worth correct. So it should not matter regarding you vs other miners etc.

We feel variable diff is to dodgy atm to implement it. To much little hiccups.

A quick note to say that were moving home to a new pool and a new name.

ftc.digicrypto.net will now replace ftc123.net. This will now allow other pools to be brought under the same name and simply support services.

To make it least disruptive for miners this has been set up as a new pool so feel free to move over when you have time. Current miners when I posted the news article on the site were noted and all will get 100 FTC once moved across as a way of saying thanks.

This post will be locked off now and a new official one will be created for digicrypto.net.

13.1 is a must have for HD5870 and HD5970 cards. Excellent performance and stability. Tried 13.4 and 13.8 beta 2, uninstalled the same day. I’m talking about Linux of course.

I got an AMD Sempron 145 and sometimes got problems with the PCIe “Lanes” while running 5 cards on one board …

So check different PCIe Slots and use Linux, Windows did not work for me …
