in my opinion it should be much more compact,
not so manu sub threads section. it hard to have controll since it doesnt
look like people excactly know where to post. now threads regarding “same topic”
are displaced all over the forum cause theres some minor difference in question.also regarding the “like” button you suggested another time.
this should be possible, SMF has alot of addons: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3708maybe it could even be tweeked to bump threads up/ have reward for good threads/guides an so on.

Thanks a lot guys. Sounds like categorisation doesn’t always work so well because often times a thread may be appropriate in more than one place. The only way around this would be to have fewer categories with some loose tagging?

It would be nice to remove the ‘Work in Progress’ text from the New Teams Board.
Members should also be encouraged to post and chat about anything, in the relevant sections.

Team Boared should be removed as it is in my opinion, if you look at the postings allmost all of the “sub sections” are actually dead except from art.
There should be ONE section named Team Production.The language section? who has controll there? are there any mods? for all we know its full of FUD spreading posts or spam…
Also except from German,Czech and chineese its yet another dead subforum part. Do we really need multi language section? dont most of us speak english regardless of what country/ motherlanguage we speak?Technical support? both in Main section and as a sub section in Mining? really do we need two technical supports? Maybe mining should be defined to “involve” more than just mining technical support?
Of topic? Do we REALLY need to dissect OF TOPIC into 5 subsection? i though of topic meant general discussion/fun not regarding feathercoin related stuff.
Project? or should i post in suggestion box? A project has to start somewhere… first as a suggestion, then as something to bring along further. Should we actively move/start new threads every time?
And the list goes on.
There should be an complete rearrangement of the forum (the old one worked better imo).I Vote for the people that cares about this comes with suggestion to new ways to split the forum, then the comunity can take a vote / the directors (or bushstar) can deside if they like any of the ideas
Sry if my typing is comming of with an “angry” attitude, that is not the intension.
Just trying to point out that i feel the forum could be so much better and work as a platform for evolving feathercoin to the next level, the way it is now i feel its just messy. -
Regarding the forum, I read often it from my tablet or smartphone, so a comptability with tapatalk would be great :) Is it something that could be considered ?

Whoops. I was going to do some work merging some forums.
Too many sub-forums spreads activity too thin and can be detrimental. I briefly looked into this and I need to run SQL queries to rewrite topics into other sub-forums. I’m not sure that I am a fan of the archives in the sub-forums.
I will get on this when I get back, this thread will be the blue print.

pretty much as everyone has said. Thin it out - we could probably get by with about 6-10 boards. I just had a count up and i have access to over 60!? Madness.
