Hi! What miners and software exactly you use? I want to start mining but such issues look a bit frightening. Now I choose between traditional mining and cloud because the latter provides more user-friendly and easy-to-start options with discounts (like this http://ccgminingcode.com/). So, would be cool to know your equipment, profits and possible problems to compare these approaches. Waiting for your reply.

      Hi @sunildubey02

Welcome to the forums. For me personally, I’d prefer to keep discussions open and public on the forums, instead of via email. This way we can share knowledge and help ALL new users.

You say your card is 24 mh/s per card. This depends entirely on which coin you are mining. Using your stats, I can only assume you’re mining Bitcoin or another SHA-256 currency.

Feathercoin was originally developed with the Scrypt encryption algorithm (Just like Litecoin) - Feathercoin wanted to stay ASIC resistant. Meaning we still wanted people to mine with their Graphics cards (Like you!)

So the developers changed the algorithm from Scrypt to NeoScrypt.

I did a quick google and it looks like 1x 1060 GTX can do around 650 Kilo Hashes a second of NeoScrypt mining.

So your 6 cards will do 3900 Kh/s

To mine FTC on windows 10 you need to download a NeoScrypt CCMiner miner for nVidia cards.

      https://github.com/ghostlander/ccminer-neoscrypt/releases/

      I hope this helps.

      Hi Jimmy!
Thanks for comming back to me on that. There sould be a value for clock/mem/Watt in Afterburner. Right? Maybe you could write these here? I am just curious about the setting of the same Chip with a different Brand…

What mining software did you use to CPU mine?

I used cpuminer-neoscrypt on Intel Core2 Duo running Debian 9.1. My power consumption was running around 130W, making it awfully inefficient, even if I could muster 1 FTC per day as @looarn mentioned.

My understanding is that by the nature of p2pool’s PPLNS payout scheme, 6 kH/s is well below the noise level at current difficulty, thus yielding zilch shares.

I’ve switched to GPU mining since then, getting ~500 kH/s with much better results - ~16 coins per day. Still, it’s not profitable at the current price level due to high electricity cost in my area.

i am very much in the same boat, except your card is doing much better than mine! dual xeons and a 780 make for a high electric bill, but guess its better than folding for free! new rig will do better i hope :)

FYI, now that I know that the cables can be problematic, I ordered from this place on ebay… http://www.ebay.com/itm/331281827101 Us based, cheap, fast ship, and received 6 when I bought 5.

And the important part, I used 3 so far and they all worked with no issues!
