Im a happy camper, hopefully someone found an advice i have given in the forum helpfull and donated 50ftc to my wallet.
Thank you whoever you are.

However i feel like passing the torch(50ftc) along to another person who deserves it. ill add 50% extra making it 75ftc.
Hopefully we will start a chain reaction with the “torch” getting bigger and bigger.

So my question is, who want to take over the torch?

The idea is that the torch eventually gets a whole lot larger and then finally can be given off to someone that have donated alot of time/effort to the comunity, or maybe a charity of some sort.
Im open for ideas :D

Cool :)

I see you got pool advertisement in your sig, seemed familiar ;) Why not use this transparent png instead?

Or maybe a bit smaller version:

P.S. I’m not doing this for donation, just wanted to make it look better :)

Every member could donte 10 ftc which will be used to sponsor anything related to the ftc project … Progress supporting - maybe for hiring a programmer, for advertising/merchandising, whatever …

How many members do we have;-)?

Doesnt hurt the single one but could push the project forward a little bit, or more

I think we should donate to a charity, if we can raise ‘x’ amount FTC perhaps a charity that already accepts BTC would be happy to accept FTC esp if we already ‘x’ amount…?

As said we need to seperate donations

For charity and
For our project FEATHERCOIN/unox

Sounds like a own big project which needs to be managed and coordinated by a choosen member/person

I do not feel faucet is the right way. Instead of giving new members a small amount. i think its better to give “dedicated” members some “extra” appreciation.
Sure its nice to become a new member and have a one ftc or two. But i do think that gathering a project pot is an even better idea.

Just look at justabitoftime/bushstar when they started the FTC, there where bounties to collect for different stuff that needed to be done. This should still be in play.
The comunity donate whatever they feel in a pot, then FTC can use that pot to expand/outsource work that should have been done one the coin.
Just look how fast things where getting done from the comunity when there was an carrot dangling in front of their faces=)

If someone have alot of FTC then contributing to that pot would increase their investment by making it an even better coin to own.

However i do think that creating a “pot” for charity is a great idea. Instead of trying to start something, why not gather a pot beforehand,
Then when the time comes and the pot is large enough we brainstorm about different charities and then have a vote of em.
Its also alot easier to contact a charity and explain “digital currency” when they see that theres allready “money” to be donated

Just my thought…

I’ll have some charity options to share with the community shortly (from my perspective). Talking to quite a few right now, figuring out logistics.

AFAIK no charity will accept crypto, no real charity anyway just plenty of scammers. It’s my opinion that getting ftc into more peoples hands is a much better way to promote the coin instead of lining our own pockets. But that’s just me…

Actually, that’s that true at all. Let’s take a look:

“Love Foundation is proud to be the first nationally recognized 501©(3) charity to accept donations of Bitcoins.”

They were also features on 60 minutes here:

http://www.songsoflove.org/60minutes/

So while I agree we need to get Feathercoin in the hands of everyone, there are recognized charities that accept crypto currency. Do they accept Feathercoin? Well, what do you think I do all day? :) :) A long way to go, but consistent small steps is key.

For those that rather put their coin somewhere else, that’s cool too. Something for everyone… Feathercoin.

If we wanted to get cash to charities, i’m sure a reputable member wouldn’t mind cashing it out and sending the fiat?

Of course proof would need to be provided.

ftc is cryptoCASH, therefore we should look for a cancer charity organisation who accepts ftc … money is money imo.

If we cant find anyone, we simply found one on our own.
A charity project under the bride …
