Peace is not the absence of conflict

To be a leader means to serve. A truly great leader creates new leaders and can see potential in those around them and is able to inspire them in to action. I try my best to help people around me discover their inner remarkability and mostly I like to think I get things right.
But I would like to ask your permission to make mistakes now and again. Because over the last few days I didn’t get that right with @HopeStillFlies and what started as an innocent attempt to do the right thing turned in to one of our people feeling hurt and rejected.
You are all allowed to get involved with any project you want to regardless of age, gender, origin or anything else. The most important thing that should qualify you is how much you care. Hell, I don’t even mind if you’re not the most technically qualified person for the task, what’s key is that you want to be good enough for the task and are willing to learn. So long as we don’t do anything that could get us in trouble with the law, and even then I am open to persuasion ;)
If you feel that something has not been dealt with fairly please bring it up, privately if necessary because there is nearly always something that can be done to fix the problem. 80% of all problems are as a result of miscommunication* and it’s nothing that a bit of listening to all sides cannot solve. And usually these discussions, even if a little heated, are very productive and lead to some good learning and self discovery.
Strong people grow from failure, it’s how you respond to it that counts because getting to know someone is a shared journey that never ends.
*I made this statistic up but you get my point :)

Let’s get a pseudo-public project list together so that people can see where they might be able to lend a hand.
Or even a public subset of projects.
Great. I’m looking forward to it. I don’t mean to pressure, since I know you were already on it, but I wanted to mention it here in case others had thoughts or ideas on the subject.
I agree with Entimp, well said.

Well said chrisJ, the whole lot of us are allowed to make mistakes,
and people have to realise we are all volunteering freely our own time. The best thing to do when you get angry is to chill for few days otherwise and especially on a forum platform things can get out of hand fast.
