I haven’t had a chance to look at the franco ATM thing yet, me being lazy I know but could you provide a link? I have the next version of the FTC ATM in the planning but need to get one or two other things finished 1st

uncle_muddy, you’re one of the biggest assets of FTC!!

This is simply terrific!!! Keep it up man!

Twitter FTW, so no actual link, they are still working on it. Bryce Weiner is sponsoring the project.

          But it’s basically a modified … http://projectskyhook.com/

Edit: I researched building a BTC ATM, because Scotland is a desolate landscape for Crypto, the options you can tag onto a couple of Raspberry Pi’s is amazing, CC readers, bio-metric readers, all sorts of gadgets. Most pieces like that you could pick up for $100-150, I think the whole thing in total was around £450 to build, but I lack the programming so I shelved the idea.

Case was the biggest challenge I came across, getting one fabricated (cheaply) which I found wasn’t easy

I might move this over to it’s own thread a bit later on as I think you may be onto something, but I don’t have the bandwidth at the moment…

              Good news…

My dev has finally got the hardware I sent him today :) so hopefully we can make some faster progress on this now. I’m just wrapping up the build instructions, schematic diagrams and code for him now

                    I spy major opportunities… http://youtu.be/WAX1pb9nhSk

Combine the hand device with an ATM that can accept CC’s and you guys have a major advantage over all the other coins bar BTC

I signed in just to say WOW!

As a normal user, when I see these nice things with feathercoin, I just can’t give up mining it. I am sure that lots of other people think like me and the proof is in the Network Hashrate.

You should also try FTC multipool to boost your gains and increase FTC buy demand at same time ;)

Keep yourself following this thread as this is where updates will be posted 1st, I’ve been very busy of late and will admit that FTC has had to take a bit of a back seat for a couple of weeks, but I’m hoping that next week will be a good week for me and the final bits of dev work will get finished so it can go into Beta Testing :D

Well after way to many months off from most things feathercoin Im finally back in a place that will allow a small amount of dev time to be spent…

So onwards, I managed last night to get the new client version compiled for running in the device and when I check this morning I had a fully sync’ed block chain :)

The next elements to be worked out are :-

Small bug in the keypad, when you use the keypad on the front of the device you get very unpradicatable results! Anything from multiple button press, thru to application crash :(
Battery pack, at the moment it’s running off an old mobile phone power adapter, I’m hoping to get a battery pack internaly under the keypad that will let the device run for a number of hours

I’ll keep you updated as it progress, and then hopefully we can have a bit of a get together to give it a launch :)

                              UM

Well that depends on how much your willing to spend on it ;)

I need to do the maths on it and work out a price.

Casing causes the biggest problem as they are not off the shelf, and having them made costs huge amounts in tooling.

The one used in the video is run off a 3D printer, whist acceptable for a prototype not really suitable for sale.
