There’s such a lot of effort on FTC for a ‘dead coin’.

I will shutting off my miners until this gets looked into…wemineftc got orphaned on one block, found two more blocks and then those two blocks just disappeared. Net hash keeps jumping this is not looking good.

That’s unfortunately what makes the attacks worse. We need to out hash the attackers or at least make it harder for them to out hash us.
Yeah somethign funny is going on for sure… There are alot of orphans on the blockchain as well as the net hash is jumping rapidly.
Yeah, it’s 1,479,395 KHash/s last I checked… On the “Last 20 blocks” we only have 4 more blocks to confirm… If only confirmations were always this fast:P

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t we need more hashing power on our end to fight this?

If the “current network hashrate” on the stats page is an average of 60 block, how the hell does it jump to 1.5ghs? Then drop back to 600?

Exactly, something isn’t being reported right or we just had the entire LTC pools come slamming down on us for a bit. As always, Bushstar will investigate when he wakes up.

Be interesting to see whether the latest block found on coinotron 33635 gets orphaned as well. I guess that’ll tell if we are back on track. It’s sitting waiting confirmations now.

Is it possible to change block chain or even the scrypt algo just enough so that its incompatible with ltc pools?

The attackers were orphaning legit blocks. The attack seem to be over for now, though. Will be clear over the next hour.

We need more bloody hashes. Retarget should happen within a day. If the price holds then we can expect a big bump.

I’m not so sure Magic… give-me-ftc still has a bunch of new miners out of the blue with tons of hash power (excluding Nutnut obviously who we know to be good). I wish I could say they are good miners too but it’s a little odd with them showing up just today and issues occur.

BTW if I’m falsely calling anyone out, my apologies. I hope you all are real miners and would certainly welcome you!
