wow… guys running rigs at 80c+?..

          I got:

          2x 7870 420kh each at 75c
          2x 7790 300kh each at 70c

I was quite impressed with the 7790 (didnt look at stats before i bought)… for those that want to best bang for the buck… $150 card doing 300kh and is extremely power efficient.

Updated the new temps and cards :)

Yeah my 7950 is running just under 80c it’s at around 78c but the 7950 can apparently take a lot more heat than other cards.

My rig certainly isn’t fast by any means. But I have a XFX 6670 with 1gb of ddr5. I get around 105-110 kh/s it’s also paired with my a6-3670k apu that gets about 50 kh/s.

Edit: the apu gets about 50 actually. it’s got a nice overclock on it. Also the Gpu stays near 52 C and the processor stays near 30 C

                      485 kh/s – 1x 7950 in an ESXi in passthrough mode. Can’t change the clock on it unless I plus a monitor/keyboard and mouse…
                      2150 kh/s – 3x 7970 Sapphire OC @ 69c. One riser, open case with fans.
1800 kh/s – 3x 7970 Gigabyte OC @ 65c. Can’t overclock much because of voltage lock. Tried flashing, flash worked but still voltages are locked.

The APU rates seem fairly nice for it only being a dual core sporting a 6350D intergrated. My Llano 3400 with it’s 6410D has never seen rates beyond 5khash GPU side >~<

                          Still! Every little helps!

                                Hi!

I am running a rig with two 6990s getting an average hash of 1750 kh/s in total at 85 - 90°C per card and besides this system, I also have a 5970 in my work computer, which is hashing at an average rate of 675 kh/s at 75°C.

Both systems use standard air cooling.

                                  Card 4 7950 615Khash 69°C
(No overclocking, All 4 cards cooled with a single 150mm 20Watt Fan, Speed Average over 1 week)

(In Overclocking tests I can get cards up over 700Khash each, but I have done no long duration runs)

                                  Card 1 7950 665Khash 61°C
                                  Card 2 7950 666Khash 72°C
                                  Card 3 7950 664Khash 71°C
                                  Card 4 7950 664Khash 73°C
(All 4 cards cooled with a single 150mm 20Watt Fan, Speed Average over 1 day, temp is max reported over a day, temp average is lower, about 66°C for the 3 hotter cards, less again for the coolest card)
(Overclocking, afterburner settings are power limit at 20%, core clock at 1100Mhz and memory clock at 1350Mhz)

My final long test will push the cards to near max, using power limit at 20%, core clock at 1200Mhz and memory clock at 1400Mhz, my only problem is to keep the heat down, I will probably use some form of ducting like christian has suggested.

Can you post your parameters for those 700 Khash speeds? Like the command used to start cgminer with the correct settings to reach that. I haven’t gone all the way out, I reach about 650 steady at 73C .

I use GUIMiner and MSI afterburner, afterburner settings are power limit at 20%, core clock at around 1200Mhz and memory clock at 1400Mhz max, I have had a constant 710Khash but I ran it only for 1 hour as I had no cooling. I have not yet carried out longer tests so I don’t know if 700plus speeds can be maintained very long.

Hope this helps, hope I don’t blow up my rig :) All in the name of science, fun and coins. ;D

Just as a hint, crossfire does nothing to improve hashrates, in fact it can even lower them.
