Pre-Mining Stigma

It was just me ranting after a trollbox encounter. It’s probably best I just leave it alone, but I am curious what others think about “pre-mining”, so here it is again.

[b]Disclaimer : This has nothing to do with tacotime & BitcoinKiller[/b], outside of me using their forum image to make a point.I know the trollbox @ BTC-e is not always a great source for wise discussions, but every once in a while some are worthy. Recently I had one with a few people in the trollbox concerning alt-coins and pre-mining (I provided further details to justabitoftime).
“Premined!”, is the go to cry when you want to crucify a coin in the trollbox. However, during the whole “premined” back/forth someone tangents off into a “Netcoin” discussion.
Apparently Netcoin is “the sh@t” and we all need to be in on it when it’s released. No one had any problems with it and thought it was a tremendous idea moving forward.
So, I ventured over to the Netcoin forum and after a few minutes see this …

Which leads me to believe, people only care about a pre-mine if they “missed out” on the coin early. If they’re in on it early, they obviously couldn’t care less and will publicly back a coin that is openly announcing a pre-mine, while in the next breath lambast another coin for being pre-mined (whether it was or not).
Cognitive dissonance at it’s finest.

We need a coin which isn’t a coin so premining in your premining will get no coin in your no coin. Or something.
Pre-mine is bad. Unannounced pre-mine is for thieves.
Just keep on building. Let them whine when we pass them by AGAIN.
