Hello All,
If you can read this then you have expressed an interest in developing Feathercoin. There is a lot of work to be done that will add value to Feathercoin though it will take me a long time to do it by myself. At this point in time we need to spread development over several of us to keep this project moving at the speed we have gotten used to.
Below I will list all the projects on the horizon and see who is interested on working on which one. We can create threads in this section of each project so people can collaborate and let us know how development is coming along.
API for merchant integration - Aldanga is looking at this. Input is required on what features is required for merchants as our own API needs are relatively small at the moment.
Online wallet - Any recommendations of a good online wallet that can be changed to work with Feathercoin? A chap called Developer is looking at implementing an online wallet and I will ask him to check in here.
Qt Development - There are a lot of features requested in the Qt client that need to be looked at. One of them is the update notification.
Shopping Carts - I am planning on installing Joomla with VirtueMart and OpenCart to create FTC extensions for them. I believe that there are also Bitcoin extension available which can be repurposed. If anyone is interested in creating some FTC shopping cart extensions for any CMS or shopping cart system then please let me know. Joomla with VirtueMart will eventually be used in our online shop.
FTC Armory - Make a FTC version of the Bitcoin Armory. The chap behind armory has said that he will support anyone making version of this for any other coin. The project is open source as far as I know.
Stats page - This proves a little wild at the moment. Next diff should be based on the number of blocks since the last change but seems to be coming from the last 60 blocks. The maths needs to be double checked for sanity as well.
Feedback system integration - This should come under the tools menu at the bottom and SSO should be looked at. BitcoinerS is interested in working on this.
SMF Newsletter template - We need something pretty to be able to email everyone with. SurveyMonkey has some good free templates that could be adapted for SMF.
That’s everything from the top of my head. If you have any ideas about what we are missing then please let me know.
You can reach me on Skype: peter.bushnell

I should say what I am currently working on which is the market place. There is still a lot of much needed work the first of which is integrating with an escrow service. I expect to have this up and running by the weekend.

I’m interested in working on them all, whether I can is another matter…I like the idea of re-purposing known Bitcoin extensions but unsure of what level of knowledge is required, even helping with API’s (I have worked with quite a few over the past year for various projects). If it’s Javascript then I’m your man, anything else I am willing to learn, although QT seems to have quite a curve, but granted still not had time to look properly :-\

UKMark, would you be interested in tidying up the forum styling?
There are a few lose ends around the place like the tools menu drop down going underneath the forum menu items. Top menu drop downs do the same thing to the admin menus.
This has been on my to-do list for a long time.

I have been passing any problematic .css problems I had to iawgoM tbh he seems to know his way around quite well, not a strong point of mine sorry Bush :-[

Yes, I am interested in finishing up feedback system integration. Will look into shopping carts later on.
-
I’d be happy to look into the stats page. I’m great with math and numbers, and much more comfortable doing mathy things on the web.

As discussed with Bushstar last week, i am learning Qt5 and I try to modify our client to be compatible with Qt5.
So far I am fighting with several types and/or functions used in the client that were remove from qt5. -

I found this before, it is the new Litepay and seems to be going multi currency…
-
I didnt see this here but a clone of www.liteaddress.org would be helpful for making paper wallets and generating private keys in bulk amounts for merchants as well as other uses.
Nice find I have been looking for something like this to play around with especially seeing it is client side too it is much more trustworthy than the one I did find http://wallet.it.cx/
Anyway I have had a quick hack around with it and it seems to be creating valid Feathercoin addresses now, I need it testing and graphics updating obviously (Job for iawgoM when he get’s back :D) < Once done I’ll get it all forum themed too.

Hey just wanting to check in and give an update. We took on the online wallet but have had some unforeseen things come into play and am afraid of stalling development. Our summer one semester began at our college and it has been really taking a toll on our available time, and I had to take some priority of trying to make a few dollars while we wait on our student loan checks. I am really sorry as I feel we should be reporting back that I have the wallet done, instead of reporting nothing. I do want to be involved, but I don’t think I can take on the responsibility right now of heading over the wallet. Again I am sorry if I wasted anyone’s time.
Dave
No worries. I’ll take a look at the online wallet after the market has Koolio escrow. When you have time let me know and I’ll find you something else :)
Koolio escrow is complete but I have turned up quite a few bugs in the system that need to be ironed out. The system is built upon WeBid an open source auction system, created by people that do not test properly and apply any bug fixes submitted to them. I’ve had to undo a few bug fixes to apply them properly.
After Koolio escrow is launched later on today hopefully I will spend the rest of the week trawling through this site fixing bugs and working on the layout. Easy messaging needs to be key in the system and currently it is a tad buried so I’m going to improve on that.
After which I’m looking to work on the online wallet which I will integrate with the market. I think it best to take care of what we have for now. It will not be long before there are new Litecoin builds that we can move to.

Hey guys bush just added me to the group. I wont be able to contribute much until after I move into my new apartment over the next 2 weeks. After that I will be looking forward to putting in a couple hours a week on various projects. I am going to look into a few topics before then and pick something once I have time to dedicate to FTC development. I look forward to working with you all. If you have any questions for me please feel free to email me at skiingbutler@roadrunner.com, send me a pm, or any other way you can think of :P

So, I’m finally back and solved most of urgent issues both on my job and in private. I see that this part of forum is currently not very active…?Anyways, please send me something you would like me to look into…some CSS issues, right?
It’s on the forum, I’ll get bush to organise you some access. 8)
This part of the forum may not be very active, tbh getting on here is a luxury at the minute, rest assured that development has not stopped since you left, I have a few projects near completion, will post details soon.
