Strange hashrate drop
-
Hey everybody,
I have only one 7950 running on my rig, the past 2 weeks ive been getting 630 Kh/s 24/7, right. Well the AC was busted since monday so I turn it off, today we got our AC back so i tried to mix a 6950 into the rig. Problem the aticonfig detected the card but cant get any stats from it or mine (i guess cuz it lacks a monitor connected to it).
So I went back to the original one 7950 card setup, but now im only getting aroud 545 Kh/s… im lost here!
Are you using cgminer? If so, what does it say for the second GPU?
Thanks for the reply d2
Cgminer wont show a second one, but I guess this one goes idle by not having a monitor attached. I went out looking for the little thingys to make the null plug, but was out of luck, gonna try again on saturday.

Did you remember the setx lines? Are you starting it via batch file? If not, you should create one that contains:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
before having it start cgminer.
If you continue to encounter problems, my recommendation would be to strip the system of drivers and re-install them. NutNut wrote about this process here: http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=1342.0
Well im using a bash script on linux and it was working just fine…thats why I dont understand whats happen. Im running the same script with the same content I did last week.
Ok Ill check how to reinstall the drivers tomorrow … maybe something got messed up when I put the 6950 card in and then swap places with the 7950… thanks
