Let's start treating pools like communities
-
What if pools could deviate slightly from the standard? Like within say 20% variation (difficulty variation vs reward variation).
One thing we’re dealing with is we have to step up our game. The majority of the cryptocoin universe want to cruise on someone else’s work. The only place I see people contributing as peers is right here. What do we want? I want p2p eBay, etsy with ftc. You guys might want something else. But pick something. No one else will do it. The majority are cruisers, passive American dreams. If we want it, we build it.
Related, we’re looking at the cruisers automating everything. Having a few multipools was great, now we want something to go away because someone else did something that doesn’t help us.
Boo hoo. They wanted multipools, they built them. We want, we build. Respect or at least acknowledge that people will do what they can imagine.
Well said. I would love so many things. But can I ask you, because I respect your expertise on the matter, it is possible to send a message with a Feathercoin payment like Bitcoin has? I want to build up this tipping culture, excessive generosity, where people send money with a message by phone or by email.
Can that be built simply? Tip coming your way.
unfortunatly thats like believing in santa, the multipools will do exactly whats benefits the users, and with their rights.
So hoping for them to do such adjustment is to farfetched in my opinion.

Sooooooo unless the members are DEV their slackers and worthless to you (feathercoin)?
Thats how i read this.

FFS stop choosing your own “interpertation” of things. people are not “Boo Hoo” ing about multipools!
people think that the way situation is now multipool and coinhoppers have discovered a flaw with todays way ftc is doing its diff calculation (luckily its locked at 40%! if not we would have 33000 block issue all the time). The wish is to have a smaller increase and a bit shorter block retarget time, so that it will not be that lucrative to coinjump every 1-2 days… -

Thats how i read this pardon my language, arogant and knowitall attitude that your that much superior to the other users/members.
Nowhere did I say developers. If you’re an artist, a writer, a reviewer, whatever your talent that’s fine. This community is made of peers who build. Not all of them are programmers. If we want to get somewhere we have to build. I only have a problem with cruisers who bought into the same attitude that’s prevalent in fiat. We’re the only community that’s creating and promoting. Outside of this community they say we push too hard. Relative to what? Their residual success pipedreams?
I see a bit of that going on.
And then in 2 months we’ll make it shorter again. Hey maybe we can be like TRC where profitability relative to BTC goes from 75% to 1000% in a few hours, but no one actually gets paid that fast nor can they sell that fast.
Maybe the solution is to have a delay before the jump. Maybe the automated system just doesn’t allow enough options.
