Mining Noob questions

Hello,
I have never mined before and im looking for some advices - want to cpu mine!

*I have signed up at give-me-ftc
(Is it possible to mine with the ftc client?)
*Created a worker
*Tried to run cgminer - doesnt work for me - now im looking for a noob friendly one

Maybe someone can help me with config settings??

Url is no problem
account.worker (means my account Name+worker name? John=account name, Stone.1 my worker name = John.Stone.1 is that right?)

cpu mining need cpuminer not cgminer (cgminer only get GPU mining). but you need the cpu miner for scrypt not the sha256 one

so for me it is for another pool

you don’t need the account just the worker name

p.s. i don`t realay cpu mine try it just for fun, it dont support stratum so if you want to use stratum you need a proxy miner

I’m doing cpu mining with cpuminer and coinotron. It’s really slow but it’s working.
