G is for Global, which is what cryptocurrencies are: They have no issuing authority, no native nationality to which they are tied, no single point of governance, no single point of failure, and no issues crossing borders or making the trip from one continent to another in the blink of an eye. I is for Internet, which is where the blockchain can be found. For a transaction to be considered valid, you must post it to the internet where the consensus of miners will include in in the public transaction log. In order to take down Feathercoin, you’d have to stop the internet.

Maybe we could add a definitions page to the tools section of the menu area. Will propose this to Bush when I get a moment.
