DUAL VIDEO cards

hey i was just wondering if anyone can answer this for me. Right now i use a nvidea 9500gt card but i also have a AMD video card just laying around i took it off desktop since it wont play second life to well. I know the cards can’t be used at same time bridged since different sockets/connects , but i want to know is it possible to install both cards. The thing i want to know is if i install both video cards but keep my nvidia for my display is it possible to use the AMD card as a miner card along with the nvidea when im not using it at same time?

in cgminer you can select it to only run one of your video cards. Shouldnt be a problem. I would recommend keeping your intensity at 12 or lower to start because you will notice system lag if you raise it.

lol i know nothing about making changes i just click on what i have and it starts on its own with nvidea i was under impresion with amd card would be same i would just click the model and it would fill it in

ok update so i got the AMD MSI 7790 card out only problem is on Guiminer it shows where you can click on model you have and it will set values in on its own. I do not see anything for 7790 in the box i see from the 5500s — 7900s. I need to know what to do please remeber i am noob so dont want to mess around with setting this or entering comands here. My luck i would somehow explode my pc lol, no joke :'(
