hi over the last few days ive noticed a dip in crypto currency does anyone know why this might be?

I think its the end of the current huge increase in price we have seen. These things seem to go in cycles.

Yes, waves of people become interested in crypto, depending on the publicity. With new users, the price goes up, some holders are tempted to sell, thus driving the price down.
At the moment tho’ I still see an amazing interest, in Altcoins and Feathercoins in particular. People asking to buy on the forum and bids on eBay. In support, the biggest complaint is “I can’t buy any!”.

Nah, it’s average has been staying way higher than the .08USD we were seeing for the longest time. At it’s lowest point on Cryptsy the last day it’s been 0.50 but already went back up.
It’s no $2.20 (the high this past week), but it’s senseless to hope/wish/dream it so high before it’s ready to carry that weight. Baby steps.

I am no expert but I have witnessed how the prices will spike and drop again all the time. Just do not panic buy if there has been a sudden hike in value, it nearly always drops again. If you look at the price over a longer period the successful coins are increasing in value in the longterm. Just pick the right ones and look at it in the long term and ignore the fluctuations ;-)
