Peter needs to contact an economist with a Youtube channel
-
Then watch the price soar 600% like Quark and LTC. The Quark dev contacted Bill Still and the coin is exploding after 3 straight youtube shows on Quark and now Bill’s going on Max Keiser to talk about … Quark.
We’re missing out(?)!
“In the future, every crypto currency will be famous for 15 minutes.”, Max Keiser
Anoncoin is also making waves with their zerocoin project talk (what happened to FTC’s?). Where’s the buzz about FTC working on zerocoin?!All we’ve seen are small mentions that FTC exist … that’s it. These other lesser known coins are stealing the fanfare FTC deserves. The FTC community needs to be promoted, the open source aspect needs to be promoted … FTC needs to be promoted right now!
Let’s not miss out on this opportunity or other lesser coins are going to take the lead away from FTC simply by being in the spotlight daily.

Maybe try strike a deal with madbitcoins on youtube. He doesn’t have many views yet, but I’m sure this will change soon. I really like his short, informative shows:
DPR Evidence is Circumstantial – Dwolla says no to Crypto – Feathercoin at the Oxford Blue
Maybe you could contact The Artist Taxidriver to get an interview? He’s very ant-establishment and I think he’d love to hear about the potential power of cryptos to take away power from the banks and government. I am sure he would have Bushstar on, and Chunky has lots of views daily.
Chunkymark & Max Keiser & Alex Jones*:
Anime…alex jones max keiser and the artist taxi driver by mrsuperbafrango
*Please note I don’t trust 95% of shit that comes out of Jones’ paranoid mouth, but I do enjoy listening to him. The above video is a bit conspiracy theory-ish, but Mark’s other videos are usually spot-on.
“Look at these fucking nutters out in Afghanistan running ‘round killing people, making finger-fucking-necklaces, pissing on bodies; they’re like pitbulls, mate, you let them off in a fuckin’ war zone and they’re gonna massacre people.” He always cracks me up when he starts screaming. “You wot? You wot? You can’t make this shit up.”

We spoke to Keiser’s people and tbh I don’t like it. It is basically just a pump and dump. We have had some very good coverage in Huffington Post, Guardian and now BBC Click are following us on Twitter.
The problem with these kinds of short, sharp tactics is that after the hype the pumpers do a fire sale, it depresses the price and then everyone moves on to the next coin. It pisses off merchants, puts of regular people not interested in get rich quick schemes because they’re too busy living.

I agree with Chris, we must sell trust and security to succeed.
Please help in support if you think we should get more members! The current exponential forum member increase is mind bogglingly scary. We need to be discussing how we handle the “new” situation.
I am treating Feathercoin like a marathon not a sprint. We had a lot of supporters at the Expo who would say things like “Good job, well done, I have been lurking on the forum for months and really like what you guys are doing”
That’s exactly what I am going for. Let them treat the other coins like slot machines while we quietly creep up and build something with strong foundations that is designed to last.

or not, lulz.
[glow=red,2,300][WARNING : DIFFERING OPINION AHEAD][/glow]
Keep in mind that all of these coins that have been getting this free advertising (they are BEGGING! for coins to talk about) are staying well above the price they were sitting at prior to their publicity and their user bases grew exponentially (which grows the coins usage and contributors).
I completely understand what you’re saying (see my blog rant from last week on Keiser’s P&D’s) but I cannot deny the positive outcome all of these other coins have experienced from this media blitz.
[glow=red,2,300]FTC is missing out on a golden opportunity for growth and name recognition … [/glow] by choice.
I am disappoint. :-\
I see no harm in doing an interview with an economist and spreading the message FTC want’s to give. If someone P&D’s because of the publicity, so be it.
Perhaps I’m spending too much time promoting FTC myself. I wouldn’t want to P&D FTC to up .002 (by talking about it on air) and watch it sit there for a month before dropping to .0015. That would really suck, especially considering how we all loved sitting under .0005 for so long. ::)
So be it. Just trying to help … and I disagree 1000% if that was not made clear. lulz
Perhaps another opportunity will roll around in a few years and FTC can pull itself from the dark web and get some recognition it deserves. Meanwhile Quark Coin and the like will continue to steal market cap that was FTC’s. Good times! ::)

I’m still a FTC fanboy (hence why I care too much above), but FTC is really making a huge mistake here IMHO.
Can I ask what you spoke to him/them about and what the response was? I’ve wondered how Keiser selects what coins to promote. Is he just getting paid to pimp them out or something?
He mentions FTC quite a bit. He accepts BTC for advertising and a good (free) way to get him to talk about Feathercoin is to view his live youtube shows and add comments asking questions or pointing out Feathercoin points related to the topic at hand.

Tuck, you need to volunteer somehow. I’m really hoping for it.
Put it this way, he has the coins before he promotes them. Stacy Herbert actually said to the audience at the Expo that she had money on the Litecoin volatility over the last few days. Make of that what you will.
Doesn’t everyone?[/sarcasm] It’s like payment for being right about a coin. You find a coin you like, you research it, you poke it with sticks to irritate it to see how it responds … then you invest if all goes well. Months later someone with a bunch of sheep followers goes on Twitter and types “Pump!” and then you reap your due rewards for the work well done. When everyone dumps you wait for the runoff to erode the spirit of weak hands until they dump even more. A week later, you buy your coins back at 1/2 price and wait for the next one.
