please upon the planned redesign of the ftc site, link sellers of goods and services in the marketplace to the forum profile (if they have one), even if they use a different trade/profile name in each place. would make me feel safer trading on the market while it is young knowing someone has been a forum member for a while.

This is a good idea, but you can also just put a link to your shop on the marketplace in your signature. Maybe a ‘verified’ seller option could be implemented or such.
