I think some of us are all looking for the best hash possible without thinking too much about the longevity of the GPU. They are so expensive and if one goes tits up before ROI then we are SOL…We will end up loosing the hash while waiting for the replacement GPUs - Talk about a double whammy! Your thoughts?

Since I just got my rig up and going, I have been thinking about this issue as well. I am only at about 575 kh per card (MSI R9 280x) and would love tweak things up to at least 650 or so. (but also a bit concerned about trying to find the middle ground between really pushing the equip., temps, etc since I would love for this investment to keep churning away for an extended period) I just don’t know enough about what I am doing yet, so plan to proceed with caution. One of my cards was hitting 81c, but once I got a small fan today, it is running about 78. Is 80 a good threshold to stay below?

[/quote]From what I have read: 75 to 80 should be fine. My Cgminer is set up for a temp target of 80 right now for all three rigs

We use that one to death in Australia A LOT. Either tits up or C%^t up… Kinda sexiest now that I think of it…
