Workers: One or Many?
-
Hope someone can clear this up for me.
If I have multiple computers running, do I configure a worker for each of them, or can I just use the same worker for all of them?
I was pointing all of them to one worker, but then later, made a worker for each one. Not sure I noticed much difference as far as total h/s.

I have one for each rig.
I think that gives you better control. Lets say you have 10 rigs and one goes down. Not to easy to see if all is mining on same worker account.

I have 4 rigs and they are all pointing to the same worker. If you are concerned about which worker belongs to which rig, then you can use Team Viewer. Team Viewer is free and gives you so much more control…I highly recommended it!

I would say 1 worker per rig.
As I understand it, otherwise the diff for the particular worker could go very high and so you are generating less shares? That wouldn’t affect pools which are weighting the shares.

I’m using multiple workers as well.
it’s easier for me to see if 1 is down when i’m on my daily job.
Just a quick login on the pools website and that gives me all I need to know. I do use teamviewer for checking what’s wrong when 1 does go down. -
@Morderchai - maybe it’s also interesting to have a look on the Feathercoin Monitor - http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php/topic,6303.0.html Helps you with an overview on your rigs and pools at once ;-)
