Gigabyte R9 280x Config - paying for it!
-
Hey!
Iam looking for a good cgminer config for my Gigabyte R9 280x - Right now they are pulling 712Kh/s at about 322W/h.
I’ve already flashed my cards so that I can vary the vddc.
If anyone is able to post me a good config which pushs out 700+ kh/s at ~ 280W/h Iam willing to pay 50FTC for your effort! :)
Regards,
ChekaZ -
just undevolt it to 1.075 that’ll do it without losing any hashes

Alright! - I did it with the config from dLight26, he sent me a pm.
My current stats are: 2x R9 280x - each 715kh/s at 530W/h (both cards + cpu,board etc…)
Thats really amazing. In the beginning I’ve had 710kh/s at 400W/h each!
I’ve to say that if you want to have low W/h results you need a good PSU. I’ve bought a new one 1050 gold PSU which safed me 150W/h in the end.
50FTC incoming dLight26!

How and where do you find out what your card is drawing? How do you undervolt?
-
Why do these new R9 cards all seem to run best at intensity 13, and not intensity 18, 19, or 20?
-
When you run 2 GPU threads its best to run at I13 so you don’t get lockups/HW errors.
When you run with 1 GPU thread you can run at I18-20 without many problems. The HD 7970 cards (aka the R9 280X series) run best with 2 GPU threads, thus I13 works best as well.
Well my R9 290 is running at i20 comfortably, but since the R9 280x is basically a HD7970 it has the same limitations.

I used to run 4 cards at ~1400w, now ~1050w.
Cheers for this link! I’m looking to undervolt in unix, so this should be useful. It only mentions the 7900 series, but this should be okay with the R280 also? as it essentially the same cards? Cheers!
Work totally fine.
You just get bios from atiflash, modify using VBE7, flash your modified bios and done.
Cheers mate, much appreciated! Looks like I gave you your first Rep :) +1
