R9 270 GPU and Windows Performance
-
I am wondering, of those that are using windows, what performance are you getting? And with what settings.
Ultimately, I hope that the sharing of information will help us squeeze out the max hash/s on R9 270.
I am currently averaging (via cgminer v3.7.2) 478 khash/s @ 67°C
I have taken an old computer and re-purposed it.

MSI Mobo

i5 2500 processor overclocked to 4.3G

16GB RAM (i know it’s overkill, but it was already there

550W PS (will be replaced when I get another GPU)

Gigabyte R9 270 (settings to follow)

O/S = Windows 8
I incorporated some settings I found in Calem’s thread: http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php/topic,6473.0.html But I couldn’t use all the settings as he had there. I’m assuming because i’m on Windows not Linux.
If you have any insight, or different experience, please share.
Anyway, Here are my settings in cgminer:

I recently tried out my 270 in windows. I couldn’t achieve much more than 420Khash/s
Ha!.. 420…
Anyways, it seems linux can pull the best speeds for the Gigabyte R9 270 2Gb OC edition.
