      On second thoughts
It’s one machine with the ability to do either!

OK, It looks like the QR issue is solved, but I have a couple of errors in the code…

The logo file gets deleted after the 1st print comes off

I don’t get a log file written to the SD card

        Any help guys?

Changed the code to resolve the logo issue now, just working on the log file bit.

Might have a slight problem with what happenes when the SD card is empty of QR codes thou as the coin taker doesn’t have an enable pin. So might have to make up a small circuit to cut the power to the coin taker once the card is spent.

Just use a single channel relay, cheap as chips.
I can send one after the weekend when I’m home from Greece if that helps.

I’ve got a couple here, but thanks for the offer :)

I’m not seeing anything in the code to drop pin3 to ground thou but I may be missing it.

I have the log file sorted now that I have added a statement to call it that was missing. Just need to look at the RTC as the date is rubbish!!

I also need to work out how to get the modified code onto Github as I have no idea about that, if nothing else comes of this I can say I have learnt a fair bit :D

I suspect that the RTC is the problem with the logfile, as it’s logging data just not what I was expecting from reading the code

                    This is the output

This is so sweet guys… Truly epic… If we can have a working prototype to show the world during the 1 year anniversary, it could get a lot of attention.

@prensel, thanks man… I’ve just Skyped iawgoM about that artwork but he’s not on-line yet…

Can you do vinyl stickers with a spot gloss finish? something similar to this? as I think the circuit tracks would look very cool in gloss :) then all I need to do is think of a colour for the can, but that maybe limited to whats in the spray gun at the time of taking it in due to the time constants of getting it ready for the end of the month

RTC problem is now fixed, I get a log file that makes sense…

Next thing is shutting down the taker when it runs out of codes, I don’t mind that it keeps swallowing £1 coins but the punters might get a little feed up of it. I’ve just been to the cupboard where the parts are kept to get a relay and there is none in there, I can’t remember using any… will have to pop out again later and get a couple

                                Current casing design is this…

                                casing_1_zps140be832.jpg

Vertical slot is for coin taker, horizontal slot is for printer, hole on the end is to take a standard PC PSU…

Thoughts? This is ready to go off to the laser cutters, and due to time constraints to get it ready for the OB at the end of the month, I need to push the button tomorrow lunch at the latest

I had one, but took it out of my sig whilst the PCUK is going on as I didn’t want to cause confusion
