Maybe the players need to hold some type of give away. every person that plays is given x amount of coins. It would cost a little upfront, however, would get a new flood of players. Just an idea.

Well, its definitely sent. And not redeemed, while that particular grenade has peen paid out (to mirrax).Did the counter go to 0 before mirrax bought? It seems for some reason your payment didn’t get in time, and your coins are safely lying there. Email them and they will refund; sheepson here got refunded too.
yep, the counter went to 0 and then the site showed that mirrax had bought. I will email them. Dammit, what a hassle…
That’s weird, the transaction seems fine. Maybe the 51% attack has something to do with this? Like it was said above, sent them an e-mail and they will sort it out :)
Could be, weird in any case. I got a refund. Hopefully better luck next time.
I had said earlier; if I gamble, I would prefer to do it here. In that way the loss will be not really a loss (as in it goes for bounties etc).

Anyone Still Playing?
-
seems to have died out there after a bit of action
yup, probably as price went higher of ftc. -
no high rollers to keep it interesting
-
Finally, in like ages, managed to get in for the thermite grenade. And what happens? My trigger happy left hand hit F5 :(
Of course - as it always happens - somebody else got in before me after countdown.
-
I’m back in. :)
-
Bragging time … Up 177.2 FTC
-
There’s no slowing down the potato.
-
Shame the site is almost dead, thermite didn’t sell at 60. Will look for more sites with the possibility of future ftc support.
-
Well it was fun while it lasted, we should have some sort of event on there though soon.
-
I play daily.
-
anyone playing today? currently sitting on 4 grenades!
-
Has anyone done the math on this game? The owner is making a fucking fortune with every purchase. 40% interest, yet the price doubles? That means his take is 60% on every purchase. Never mind when they go boom and he takes 90%…
This game could be SO much better…
Here’s my thoughts.
- Higher interest. Like 100%. The website owner can make his profit when they go boom.
- Purchasing of timer resets. Own the grenade? It’s about to explode? Spend 10% to reset the timer.
- Chat box.
- Login accounts so you don’t have to keep putting in your address, and can deposit coins ahead of time allowing for 1 click purchases.
From the looks of things the game is dying, but if it was made more attractive to play, I bet more people would get in on it.
In the meantime I’ve created #bitgrenade on freenode to serve as the chat box. Come join me there.
there’s a thread on bitcoin talk where the creator (vipah, or something along those lines) actually goes through the math because one player got all pissy they lost their FTC. He does a comparison with other hotpotato/bitgrenade games - haven’t gone through the math in detail but it looks sound
