Difficulty increase incomming!

Ah the Current Difficulty is now: 122.352

That’s quite a significant jump. Almost 50%, and it’s due to jump another 100% ontop of that in 2 days time.
That’s a difficulty increase of 3x in 2 days.Which, unfortunately, means that FTC/LTC is gonna be pretty close in terms of difficulty. And LTC being much longer established and having better stability. I see a lot of people moving back to LTC.
Edit: Me included, I have a personal vested interest in digital currencies as well as communities. One has to fuel the other unfortunately.

Where can I find how many coins are rewarded per block since the difficulty just increased?

Should be a static value, 200 coins per block irrespective of difficulty. All the difficulty means is finding a block is harder and requires more work.

Ah, fair enough… I don’t think we’re nearing the block figure for a reward halve anytime soon :P

[/quote]I actually joined when difficulty was already too high. Fortunately the low price now means I can buy a few (though I loathe trading - prefer to mine them).
The next difficulty reduction should be a time to get a few coins in. I guess nobody anticipated how quickly the difficulty would shoot up.
