I am trying to get 3x 7950’s working and an additional 5870. The 5870 won’t work with 3x 7950’s but will work with 2x. I am unsure what I am doing wrong. Using Windows 7 and cgminer on an FM2 85x system.

Depends on what you mean by “won’t work”. I remember christian mentioning that his motherboard wouldn’t detect more than 3 GPU’s and we were able to find a chart showing which pci-e slot configuration could be used to get more working. If this is the issue you are having, post your motherboard model, otherwise a better description of your problem.

        cgminer crashes. WONT WORK.

cgminer works with the 7950’s but not with the 5870, works with ANY 3 cards, but not the 4th. It will detect just fine, it actually can be seen in MSI afterburner. ANytime it launches, trying to access more than 4 cards, it crashes.

You needn’t run them all with a single instance of cgminer. In fact, it’s very unwise even to try so.

they aren’t. I can get 3 running in one instantce, then the next one is seperate but won’t even load (crashes in windows)

I thought it was a power issue, but the asrock board has molex to board PCIe. I am left wondering if the 85x chipset can’t support this becuase of the iGPU (which is disabled anyways) or if its the 1x slots don’t work correct or?

I am running out of ideas
