        I’ve never really used a p2pool server before, is it wise for a single low end gpu to use it? I have it pointed there now, but am getting a lot of Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart messages and Difficulty changes (lowering).

        Or do I need a different setting in cgminer for it?

        Or is it all normal for a p2pool setup and I’m ok to leave her running there?

              Done that now - good call. I also removed the old peers from the BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS and put the ones you mentioned in your other post.

              Where is the default connections set in the code? It looks like 50 incoming / 30 incoming?

                    It’s normal. I’m going to write an FAQ to cover some of the oddities of p2pool but it’s fine.

                      Hashrate is climbing steadily on both the network and our pool and we are finding a good number of blocks!

                      Since 19:25-GMT we are @ 128% and we still have 6 hours to go.

                            Am im the only one experiencing problems when mining here?.
                            I get those pesky connection to stratum messages, which should not matter but my card speeds are going from 560 to 480ish regularly.
                            Tried to bost engine and clock now and get 630khash pr card, however every 5-10 seconds the speed plumets down to around 480 before slowly rising again.
                            Seems the cards run out of work or something

                            Tried litecoinpool now to see if the same phenomenon was there, but no, when i mine there i dont go under 600khash pr card…

                            EDIT.
                            I take some of it back, seems to happen when using litecoinpool to, only not that much and not that often.
                            One-two card can go to 550hash and rise again. with ftc however i had issues tweaking cards due to jumpy readouts… :o
                            If you look at my mining graph (ftc 6q6NJNyr1KEsFAwv5CqiWG8ZpJMpu6v6QC) you see what i mean, all the cards run 24/7 stable without any hicks, however the hashrate act like a jojo :P

                              Hmmm… The hashrate on the graphs will look jumpy as it based on shares found rather than actual hash rate. If you look at mine, they jump too. Sometimes i hit 4GHs on 3 GHs rig. As for the stratum malarky - glitch free here, all 20 cards running at a steady ~750. Are you sure there’s no issue with your connection to the Internets as it’s happening on 2 pools?

                              Obviously with ltc and ftc there will be different workloads so length of time working on shares may vary.

                                Cat6 cabling, high quality switches and 60/60Mbit fiber connection.

                                  The work restarts are just when someone finds a share. It’s a notification to tell cgminer to start a new piece of work. Looking at your graph it’s no more wobbly than mine and mine hasn’t budged from 750. Set up a continuous ping to the server and see what jitter you get.

                                  Also, are you using the --failover-only switch?

                                        Lol im doing the install now to get another 4x7950 up and running when i realised that one of my small rig was rather cool…
                                        Looks like it has been offline for about two weeks, but since its only 1200khash i didnt notice from the graph!
                                        DAMNIT ::)

                                        Is it some way to split the graphs for each rig without needing several different ftc adresses? I see you have, but guess that is since you are the “p2pool” operator=) Did the same when i had my own p2pool.
                                        I however liked your p2pool and tought i’d just stick around rather than use time setting up my own (have a bunch of other ftc ideas in the process)

                                          Doh! I hate it when that happens. For me a rig only falls over about 5 minutes after I’ve left the house for the day!

                                          Unfortunately no, there’s no way to have separate stats per rig unless your the owner of the “default payout address”. Basically, if you specify a wallet address as your username it will payout to that address. I you specify “Rig 1”, being an invalid address it just goes to the default payout address. Basically I’ve misconfigured my rigs to make it do that.

                                          You could always create a vanity address so they are easier to identify?

                                            Ah, i might just create different feathercoin in adress for each rig, that way i at least am able to see if one of em isnt contributing in a longer run.
                                            However for now i redirected my power to coinotron.com, need to have better overview of the rigs for a small period of time (doing some tweaking). Finally went above 10Mhash…
