Congrats! What cards are you using and clock speeds?
Clock: 1000
Mem: 1350
SDK: 2.8
Driver: 13.1
Cgminer: 3.1.0
Card: Gigabyte 7950We’re still tweaking… but we’re happy with the temps around 73c. Next step, under-volting.

Are you using Gigabyte WF3s?
If so, watch out for the FT0 bios that’s seemingly endemic on newer Gigabyte Windforce 3’s - they can’t be flashed easily.
If you can in fact get F43 on it, congrats. Set core clock to 1100 and mem clock to 1250, and you’ll get an easy 650+ KHs.
WF3s… Right now, I’m happy getting them at 600. :) This of course will change next week when I think about all the coins I’m losing.

Bravo!! :D
Be sure to check the stability though. Somtimes just knocking a clock down by 5Mhz can mean the diff between a 6 hour run and a fully stable 24/7. Same thing goes for undervolting, as that too can make the cards a bit wobbly especially if you have 4 in 1 rig (1 crash can bring the lot down). Usually doesn’t loose you any real hashes either.
As for the bios flashing, i think the 7970’s also have the little switch on the top that you use to switch between BIOS’s. Give it a go and if it all goes to brown stuff you can flick the switch back and re-flash.
Happy Mining! ;)

Congrats, I just started building my first dedicated rig! Soon ill have 2x 7970s and 4x 7950s farming it up.
Hey Benny ~ what settings are you running to get 650+? I’m running F43 bios, 1100 engine and 1250 mem, and I can only average 630. I’m not complaining about that is it is really stable, I’m just curious how I could squeeze every drop. My 7950s are voltage locked, so F43 was the only way I could get that down.

Added in the 8th 7950 card and 3 more ready for rig 3 on Thursday.
I wouldn’t be so sure that they are locked. I got 2x 7970 tf3s that just came out. A lot of people thought they were locked but all I have to do was use Afterburner and check 3 check boxes in the options regarding voltage control and BOOM unlocked voltages. Cgminer cannot monitor or change the voltages of these cards as well I tried for days with no luck.
Well, I have two MSI TwinFrozr3s that I forced the Gigabyte F43 bios onto. I was getting around 650ish on those but the voltage at 1.25v just made me keep the fans at 100% in order to maintain 75C. I’m down to 200-220W per card at the 1.09v and happily keeping 67-70C at probably 52-57% fan (on auto).
The other two cards are Gigabyte WF3s, one of which runs hot but I’m very sure it is just airflow on that card. All has been very happy since moving to F43 bios, even though I did give up a little hash.
I will toy again with Afterburner when I feel like shutting down the miner next. I did the “unofficial overclock” in the .cfg, and I have “Unlock voltage control” and “Unlock voltage monitoring” checked. Are you saying that I need the “Force constant voltage” checked too? I didn’t do that one as I was afraid it would mess something up…but I haven’t messed with AB since I flashed the bios. Would love to see if I can push the MSI cards back up, but lower the voltage!
