Guess the most of you remember my previouse failiure when pushing 6 cards to one mb without powered risers…:

Well got myself a new mainboard and only used 4 connections. it worked for allmost 24hours…:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KW7y4uGgYs&feature=youtu.be

Getting pretty tired of hardware failing now. It was a brief moment of 11Mhash, now 2 of my rigs are down with a total of 8x7950…
The other rig hasnt catch fire, it just wont recognise that i have cards in the pci-express slots… only onboard graphics work…

      EDIT:
Figured out why my second rig didnt work, had burned of at the exact same area! at the bottom next to USB3 pin input

on mb is a Gigabyte GA-z77-D3h, the other a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
Can this be because i was pushing the cards, each of em had 4x7950 powered by a seasonic x1250 pr rig. Havent had any issue until i set the cards to 1050/1500 (original 925/1250).
Can it be burned out due to strains on the PCI-E? in that case ill be making powered extenders like a M***********

ordered me three new mb and 2 new cpus.
Will divide the rigs more evenly. Now i just need to figure out how to rebuild my extenders to powered ones=P

Also ordered me an air condition for moving the rigs inhouse, and ordered me a smokedetector for that room!=P

Sorry to hear that. Maybe the people saying powered risers are useless should take notice of when this kind of thing happens…

                  Agree.
the most scary thing is the bursting flame that came from the mainboard and didnt seem to want to stop…
if the rig was mounted on wood frame or there waa something flameable nearby this could really be a firestarter (there was around a 5-7cm spikt flame from the motherboard. which didnt Stop until i cut power.
recommend smokedetector in every miningrig room!

FWIW, if you need any powered risers and can’t figure out / don’t want to make them, let me know, and I’ll give you a discount on some through my store.
