Green Mining?

I was wondering if anyone has looked into finding the best efficiency for each hardware for mining? Specifically, settings and specs just for video cards because i know there are way to many different setups. At what speed/clock/voltage vs hash vs kWh is the most efficient?
Like most things everyone wants the most, and in this case the most hash. But what I’m looking for is the most hash at the best efficiency. I have rarely found kw usage along with any specs. Has there been any studies or research done for efficiency? I currently have 6 6970’s burning away some kWh’s, where is the 6970’s best efficiency at? I believe my mining could be much more profitable with the right settings. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that.
I think it’s safe to say that we all expect the difficulty of crypto’s to rise and so generally you’ll get less coins in a months time than you’ll get now. You may save a few pennies in leccy now but the extra handful of coins that you could gain by cranking it to the max will likely pay for itself in a few months.
If you planning on mining and dumping immediately then fair enough. Personally, i’m holding them for a while.
It’s the same principle as the likes of coinchoose, where they tell you the most profitable coin to mine… It’s only the most profitable at that point in time. If you hold any (non-profitable) coin for a day or so you may see a spike that doubles your profitability.
