Woke up to fuzzy3 beeing crashed today=)
so no doesnt seem to be due to temp. everything is well cooled
Too much power draw from PSU? What exactly do you mean by crashed? PC rebooted or cgminer crash
sorry bad explaining. Cgminer is completely frozen.
when i killall the application and try to rerun cgminer it just autofreeze.
not even ./cgminer -n will work.Have to restart computer for it to work again.
And you did check with ps first to make sure it had terminated before you tried to run it again?
It kinda sounds like maybe there’s some driver corruption going on if it was actually killed. Perhaps driver reinstall might help but that’s just me trying to come up with solutions.
checked with ps first and after. it died=)
Its a pretty clean xubuntu install that are identical with all the other fuzzy rigs that works regarding drivers=P
I do however suspect the mobo, put the config back to the old faitfull 550khash and it runs stable again=) -

I was considering buying some sapphire 7950 3l dual x cards. I only have experience with the reference 7950 4l cards. with powertune at 20 would you happen to know how many kw your 4 cards are drawing from the PSU?
i have a 3 rigs on one of my circuit breakers, 4x7950, 2x7950,2x7950 (1xSeasonic x1250, 2x silverstone 850w) it pulls a total of 2750w at socket.
so around 1300-1400 with 4x setup. However the cards are also clocked and pushed high, giving me 650pr card! (not bad for a card that cost 300$). -
On a 20A breaker at 110V you are only supposed to pull 2200 watts. Perhaps your system is suffering from a brownout, and the first components to go are the GPUs? Then once they quit pulling power, you are close enough in spec that the rest of the system avoids crashing, but it’s too late for the driver? Try running it on its own circuit.
in my country we have 220/230v electrisity, which gives me 3520w on each of my 16amp circuit breakers (i have two 100% dedicated to the park, straight from the fusebox to the mining room :P)
Might even be the PSU itself providing dirty power under those kinds of loads. Maybe too much on a single rail? Sorry if I’m making no sense, 3 days without sleeps really messes you up.
Hehe no prob
Do not think its the psu. Those Seasonic X1250 are excellent^infinity!
also given that its 3 systems on the same circuit 2750w isnt realistic just to divide in two.
Im guessing the seasonic uses around 1150-1300 max, and thats at socket, given the power supply are 80plus gold which means 88% efficiency at 100% load it is actually only using 1012-1144w MAX on the dc side. The 12v rail is alone specified to be able to deliver 1248w of the total power.I do not think the psu is giving dirty power, it only happens on one of my 3x seasonic rigs, and on that rig its cgminer that goes to shit, system is still alive.
Those other rigs are running excellent. Also the psus are cool and do not look “pushed” at all 8)
My bet is bad mobo -
The mobo is one i got as a bonus during my previouse used gpu purchases.
It has had some strange hickups earlier, will try with windows now just for fun.theres a big chanse i just order myself another mobo, getting 400hash extra for 100$ is a steal=)
