Too hot in the UK for my rigs.

My ax1200i PSU is struggling with the UK heat at the mo.When it gets to 10am (~35c ambient in the shed) it crashes. have to disable 1 card and it runs fine. 9pm as it drops to ~32c in the shed i can fire up card 4 and it’s fine till 10am again. :'(
All Seasonic supplies are working like demons! :D
My rig gets to 1pm then dies, as I’m at work it stays dead until I’m back from work. But that was at the overclocked settings, running the rig at 2.7Ghash, at normal settings running at 2.4Ghash the rig is fine as long as the day time temps don’t go above 30C, when that happens I underclock the rig down to 2Ghash. With afterburner its just a click of a button.
The hard part is guessing what days are gonna be over 30C.
The shed needs an extractor up high and a vent to allow air in down low.
See if u can pick up an IP PDU from ebay. I use an APC AP8953. It gives you all sorts of funky readouts and you can manage the power sockets too. If i have a rig hard crash (i get idle worker alerts from my pool) i simply whip out the phone, browse to the pdu and reset the power. ;)
Mine’s the 32A version so was pretty pricey but if your running up to 3 rigs you should be fine with a 16A version which when i got mine were about £90.
Shit I’m still living in 1985, I never knew you could get something like that so affordable. Yeah the 32A is pricey but if your running enough rigs you need that control.

i concurre, having some random gpu shutdowns.
Having now 45degrees in my mining room. im all out of options :P
45c?!?! :o
Thats right. insane… due to the rain comming sideways i have limited option regarding open window to=P
Damnit. tried to put in an portable aircondition with hose out trough a vent, didnt help one single degree. However im down to 25-30degrees during night. then everything runs smooth at around 75 degrees.
Those gigabyte oc 7970 was smoooth with your settings, 750 with around 80 degrees in an room that is up to 45degrees! -
Any of you ever looked in to buying one of those cheap refrigerators, stripping it down to the coils and then placing your rig and the cooling inside a insulated box? Maybe with styrofoam blocks?
I can get a mini fridge here for under $100 U.S.
-
Another thought would be to buy an old fridge off ebay or craigslist (garage sale?) for cheaper. There are some tutorials online on tear-downs without cutting the refrigerant lines.

The 16A unit might be pushing the limits for 3 rigs…
They can ramp up and you can adjust the overload alarms. My 32A unit has a 32A input but split into 2 16A banks internally. The bank that runs 3 rigs (12x 7970) is pulling 16.9A but i have pushed the “warning” to 17A and overload to 17.5A but it will let you go to 18A. If you were running 12x 7950s you’d probably be OK. I know you shouldn’t but hey, i’m a rebel without a clue… no… hang on… that’s not right…

Well i just purchased myself some more ammo against the heat war!
50cm floor standing fan with 90w effect each (10cm bigger diameter then my previouse and over double the effect)
these thingies transport over 60m^3 off air pr minute!
which means i have complete air replacement of the entire room every 30 seconds 8)Game on!

PMSL.
I just got 2 of these… http://www.screwfix.com/p/18-high-velocity-floor-fan-chrome/54056

Needless to say I only run them on low else i have to knock next door to get my rigs back! :D

Lol my girlfriend just walked in the room, shaked her head and asked wtf whas i doing.
When i answered doing some heatbattle see just turned around and walked away ;DPlastic tunnel to transfer air trough a 25x25cm hole i have in my wall from the outside (outside shed without walls, cool crisp air!)

haha I cant even imagine what they think about all those rigs mining away. Running a 2000kh/s my gf looks at me like I have two heads with both my computers running.
I would have been in deep trouble if it wasnt for me paying for our holiday with my mined coins 8)
Update on solution.
It did not work as expected, all my rigs went down due to heat -
Problem fixed.
Just took a step back and lol’ed at myself…
Went to the store to buy two more of those fans. now i have 4 fans pushing 3600m^3 of air pr hour, for a total of 14400m^3 air/hour. in a room of under 25m^3 thats pretty good ::)
Those white plastic “home” fans gets thrown away, you havent experienced a real fan until you buy those with steel blades and larger engine (it says wind machine on box, and they where correct!)Have 1 fan hanging from the large windows blowing fresh cool air in (offset from my rigs for saftety from rainy days! those fans has some awesome pushing power)
1 fan mounted behind the rigs on the windows for pulling hot air to the outside.
2 fans directed at the front of the rigs for getting that hot air around the cards away.

PMSL - Mad max eat your heart out! :D
-
Ye guys are crazy, ;D looks like its going to get hotter this weekend, cant wait to see the modifications done come Monday.
-
i second that you guys are crazy :P
if the AC dies here in Texas this time of year, no amount of fans will cool a rig ;D
-
The modification worked like a charm!
Earlier it would overheat the entire basement when i closed the door to the second floor(due to heat in third floor where we sleep…)
When i would wake up the basement would be 45 degrees and halv my rigs would have gone idle. Now i have even closed of the small room so i dont overheat the basement, still the temp donot go over 80!http://50.87.190.116/monitoring/
Edit:
Now if i only could find a way to press in a circuit breaker more in my fusebox i can expand the park further ::) have used up my dedicated 7kW
