PMSL.I just got 2 of these… http://www.screwfix.com/p/18-high-velocity-floor-fan-chrome/54056
only 45cm ;D
didnt dind any spec regarding motor on the page (maybe due to tablet surfing) -
110w but you didn’t see the airflow… 7260m[sup]3[/sup]/Hr (121 m[sup]3[/sup]/Hr) each! :D
Needless to say I only run them on low else i have to knock next door to get my rigs back! :D
damnit! then you got the version i wanted but that they were out of stock off :P
Lol my girlfriend just walked in the room, shaked her head and asked wtf whas i doing.
When i answered doing some heatbattle see just turned around and walked away ;DPlastic tunnel to transfer air trough a 25x25cm hole i have in my wall from the outside (outside shed without walls, cool crisp air!)

Hahaha that’s awesome :D

haha I cant even imagine what they think about all those rigs mining away. Running a 2000kh/s my gf looks at me like I have two heads with both my computers running.

Update on solution.
It did not work as expected, all my rigs went down due to heat -
Problem fixed.
Just took a step back and lol’ed at myself…
Went to the store to buy two more of those fans. now i have 4 fans pushing 3600m^3 of air pr hour, for a total of 14400m^3 air/hour. in a room of under 25m^3 thats pretty good ::)
Those white plastic “home” fans gets thrown away, you havent experienced a real fan until you buy those with steel blades and larger engine (it says wind machine on box, and they where correct!)Have 1 fan hanging from the large windows blowing fresh cool air in (offset from my rigs for saftety from rainy days! those fans has some awesome pushing power)
1 fan mounted behind the rigs on the windows for pulling hot air to the outside.
2 fans directed at the front of the rigs for getting that hot air around the cards away.

PMSL - Mad max eat your heart out! :D
-
Ye guys are crazy, ;D looks like its going to get hotter this weekend, cant wait to see the modifications done come Monday.
-
i second that you guys are crazy :P
if the AC dies here in Texas this time of year, no amount of fans will cool a rig ;D
-
The modification worked like a charm!
Earlier it would overheat the entire basement when i closed the door to the second floor(due to heat in third floor where we sleep…)
When i would wake up the basement would be 45 degrees and halv my rigs would have gone idle. Now i have even closed of the small room so i dont overheat the basement, still the temp donot go over 80!http://50.87.190.116/monitoring/
Edit:
Now if i only could find a way to press in a circuit breaker more in my fusebox i can expand the park further ::) have used up my dedicated 7kW -
To hell with the breaker - you probably have 25% headroom on that. Have you felt the temp of the cables coming out of it though?
Allready have heat on cables/breakers. So think i have pushef enough:)
But maybe i get an extra 16amp when i change room, also i have an arrangement in progress between friends regarding alternative storage:P -
Knowing your luck and fires i wouldn’t want to sleep in your house! ;D
That’s why mine live in the shed.
hehe smokedetectors all connected to a sentral with high pitch sound and gsm sending to many people, i think im ok.
Also have co2 detector outside bedrooms to monitor for “invisible flames, gas fumes and such”.Ill be okay ;D
Havent fried anything in a long time now, those powered risers really did the trick! i use it on every riser!

Well i just purchased myself some more ammo against the heat war!
50cm floor standing fan with 90w effect each (10cm bigger diameter then my previouse and over double the effect)
these thingies transport over 60m^3 off air pr minute!
which means i have complete air replacement of the entire room every 30 seconds 8)Game on!
Nice, I have one similar mounted on the ceiling of my office to keep the air circulating and an air conditioner in the window…gotta do something lol Arizona is almost too hot for this. -

In all my years of operating a huge cluster I recommend lowering your clocks and mem clocks to lower temps… you dont want to be constantly pushing ur cards above 90c. Also remember thermal cycling is more damaging to cards so glitching isnt good
my cards are between 75-80 degrees 24/7 after installing these fans
rom temp is around 30-35degrees -
For a little while, the AC in my apartment was out, thanks to a fuse on the roof. :/ During that time, I set my rig outside, because the first evening the inside went to 125F / 51C, and everyone inside was camping out in our rooms with a balmy 105F / 40C. Mind you, I’m in Las Vegas, one of US’s deserts. The outside temp was measured to be 115F / 45C during this time. My cards would rise very quickly, and I had fans on 100% during mining. Cutoff was at 90C after everything was said and done, as it still gave me a 2500 Kh/s average, as opposed to a 1900 at 85C.
Thankfully, it was only outside for 3 days, and it only halted once because my ISP was and still is having overloaded peer relays. My rig is now sitting nicely at 2900 Kh in a 75-80F / 25-28C room throwing 73-83C. :) I’m going to get a better fan as it is.
