Does Bitcoin take itself too seriously?

I have been wondering about what makes Feathercoin so different and why some people love to hate us. And I think it’s this:
We like to have fun while changing the world. The community is the strongest feature of any open source project and I think that USP is so powerful that it scares people.

Your damn right chrisj, those guys are way too serious, they need to live a little.

Well when people spend $100-$145 per Block Erupter that they won’t even see return on until about a year, I imagine they would be.
LMAO

[/quote]Yeah agreed, unless you buy it with Fiat and in which case it’s just a way to convert your money in to Bitcoin without going through an exchange and maybe you make a little bet that in the long run it will be worth $1000+ and are happy with that risk reward ratio.
I think they’re cool and will help to distribute the network hashing power because they are just affordable enough so that the long term believers in Bitcoin will buy them on novelty value.
