is there a HUGE shopping center/street in oxford?
No, BUT about 20 mins drive from Oxford is a big retail outlet village its called Bicester Village shopping village, its known as the best outlet village of its kind in the whole of Europe, trains to London from Bicester take 45 mins, a bus from Bicester to Oxford takes about an hour and I’m sure a train from Bicester to Oxford takes about 20 mins, if you stay near Oxford like in Bicester you’ll have easy access to London and Oxford and places to stay and travel will cost less :)
Okay, there is a Town Centre in Oxford where all the shops are, they are your average High Street shops - you could spend a day there and spend lots of money, the town centre is like 15 mins walk from The Oxford Blue pub where the meet is, there’s lots of history in Oxford town centre too, old university college buildings and things and museums :) hope that helps :)

For anyone wishing to stay in Oxford on the night,
The postal code for The Oxford Blue is OX4 1JU - Its about a 15 min walk from Oxford City Centre.
I hope this helps, any other questions please ask.

Im actually considering participating in this one. at least for a couple of hours
(the misses has to tag along and shes not crazy for crypto stuff…)Do people have any recommandation for hotels in london?
criteria.
1. she wants to shop
2. maybe something “must see” in london? buckingham palace? museum? madam tussau(or whatever its spelled :o) i’ve never been to london so i do not know
2. it has to be a decent “lets call it romantic hotel” since the only way im getting her along on this one is to make it a “couple weekend ;D”
3. must be able to get to the oxford pub without having to travel for several hours=)Im btw traveling from Norway so its quite the trip…
I’m from London, so any advice needed just sing out. I can suggest Camden Town as a great place to be on a Saturday or Sunday. One of the best markets (1000’s of stalls) in the world. Good pubs for food and eating. 10 minutes on the tube to Totenham Court Road (main junction for the beginning of Oxford Street). The canals run through Camden too, can walk up to London zoo from there.
Oxford Street is an expensive mecca and is just full of chain stores now.
Need advice on London, sing out.

“You may have a much harder time finding a pub in London or a taxi cab in San Francisco that will accept Litecoin, but hey, Jay’s Jerky and Goodies takes them.”
Wired Magazine made a subtle cue towards Feathercoin today… Gave me a good chuckle. Thought it was fitting to post it here.

For anyone driving to the meet up the nearest car park is off Cowley Road on Union Street OX4 1JP Site entrance located on Union Street via Cowley Road behind Tesco, its pay and display.
There is also street parking around the pub limited to 2 hours for free - these spaces are clearly marked - There are a few spaces on Marston Street OX4 1JU opposite the pub, James Street OX4 1EU and off James Street in Denmark Street.
These street parking spaces are super rare and you’d be lucky to get one, so I would go for the car park.
There is 1 hour on street parking on the Iffley Road too.
I will be parking in the car park behind Tesco, last time it cost me £12.00 from about 2.30pm till 8am the following morning :)
All the parking options are within a 2 minute or less walking distance from The Oxford Blue.
If anyone needs a mobile phone contact number please email me and I will be happy to give you one :)
Thanks.
