Let’s not mess around. The more awareness the more merchants we will get. Tell everyone you know to follow us on twitter, tell them it’s good for them or something.

This is phenomenal. How long did it take to reach 900?

From the 1st of July when I took it over we had about 120ish followers but it was slow up to 500. But then as you inch closer to 1,000 the network effect and social proof mechanisms kick in. The first thing people look for after you have got their attention with someone they believe in or disagree with strongly is how many followers you have and if there is anyone they know that follows you. Once you cross 600-700 you find that people see you as established.

So up and to the right. These are the kinds of metrics we need to use to help build our definition of success as I mention in the newsletter. Not simply the number of followers but how much interaction with have with those people, if they find us valuable, do they recommend us to their friends by Retweeting etc.

Don’t stop talking about us and send them to the Twitter as default because it gives people a great snapshot of us.
