Hive and Feathercoin?
-
How did you hear about FeathercoinJ out of interest?
-
Oh I see sorry I just followed the link to Bitcointalk. Nice one!
-
Hey guys! Yes, we would love to see this happen.
hank is the guy to talk to about feathercoinj, he’s being doing a wonderful job of maintaining it. We would LOVE to see feathercoin supported in Hive, and I would be very happy to support you in any way I can. I’ve done a lot of work with BitcoinJ so I can tell you where the landmines are hidden and how to best avoid them. Mike Hearn is also a great resource and he’s very active on the BitcoinJ mailing lists.
Anyway, you’ve got my axe!

Is there any particular reason why it’s 10.7+ and isn’t compatible with 10.6?
Great! We’ve written to Hank already to inquire about the state of the project, and we’re in touch with Mike as well. We’ll see how that goes, but if it is more or less just bitcoinj then most likely it won’t trouble.
Now, what about applications? Are there enough merchants and exchanges to justify some action like that? What we would really like to see is one altcoin taking up the cause of an excellent, unified user experience, and just running with it. We believe that would really set one coin apart from the rest.
Really sorry about that! Presently we are using ARC memory management, which is only available in 10.7 and higher. You may know that Apple almost never backports any of their tools and generally makes it very difficult to develop anything with older system compatibility. :(

Okay then. I’ve just been seeing a pattern the last couple of years where below 10.6 were out of luck for new software and have only recently been seeing that threshold raised.
Guess it’s time to wrangle some of this ridiculously expensive DDR2 that this Mac Pro needs in order to upgrade to 10.7+.
That’s right, folks. My primary work machine has a gig of RAM.
Thank you very much. Sure, we’d love to try and make an iPhone version. It looks like now is finally the time when they will be let into the app store. However, we need an iPhone developer to join our team and help us make that happen. Know anyone?
Wait, did Apple change their policy on this, when did that happen?
So far only Blockchain.info and gliph have been able to sneak through their strict terms.

so no future support for win/nux?
We’re picking our next platform now. If you want that, please vote at the top here:
