Ok, how do I acquire FTC with fiat?
-
Is this possible? If it is, can anyone guide me to a link or forum that breaks down the procedure? Thanks. Thought I could possibly acquire BTCs then transfer those to FTCs but I’m hoping I can directly acquire FTCs from fiat currency.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, we clearly need a FAQ for this. It’s been asked about 3 times today on the forum.
You can buy FTC with USD at:
Crypto-trade.com
BTC-e.com
CoinMKT.comIn addition, you can buy FTC with BTC at:
Cryptsy.com
Mcxnow.com
Vircurex.comIn addition to the above listed, you can also buy BTC with USD at:
CampBX.com
CoinMkt.com
CoinBase.comThere’s more out there to. This list isn’t exhaustive.

Also if your in the UK you can buy bittylicious with great ease with online banking and buy BTC (soon to be FTC before Xmas)
And then its easy to get BTC into any exchange as Kevlar has said above and trade it for FTC if ya like. -
Oh thanks for the replies. I found a site - VirtEx. Seems to be based in (or for) Canada. Anyone know if they’re legit? Thanks again guys for the responses and yeah, a FAQ section on this would be a no-brainer indeed.
Getting close to acquiring my first virtual currency and it feels exciting… yeah I’m a geeky noob :-[ … and I like it! ;D

Yes, virtex is legit, but when last I checked (6 months ago) their withdraw fees were 10-100x any other exchange.

Ah thanks Kevlar. Is there a site where I can get FTCs directly from Canadian dollars instead of first getting BTCs and then doing a transfer? So are there any other recommended virtual exchange houses than can deal with Canadian fiat currency?

Chubear,
If you find a solution I will be very interested. Vancouver is a little at the opposite of the country for me :-( -
Again, thanks for all the info. It’s appreciated. llocans, I’ll try to keep you updated with how I proceed for sure.
