      of you use seasonic x1250 it works for 4 cards running 750khash each with 1100/1500 settings (asus matrix 280X) i would however keep it for three just to be sure

        i have 4x gigabyte 280x and i have a 1500w evga. it has a usb powered stat reader. says im pulling 1450 - 1500 from the wall and about 1250 - 1300 used.

          How much do you get on the gigabyte 280x ?
          I cant get them faster then 725KH/s (Xubuntu with cgminer 3.7)

          ./cgminer --scrypt -o xxx -u xxx -p xxx -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 11200 --lookup-gap 2 --api-listen --api-network --auto-fan --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1047 --shaders 2048 --gpu-powertune 20

            i get about the same. i volt to 1050 and -20 powertune. my clock and mem is the same.

                Heh? Thanks to all the litecoin articles, R9 280x raised to $400 from $330 in NCIX. I don’t think I can afford one anytime soon.

                  I’m making over 225 coins per day at 11MH/s.
                  Celebrated passing the first 1000 coin marker yesterday with a beer (and my girlfriend who still thinks i’m bonkers)
                  Next target is 10.000 coins which would take the Moet bottle out of the closet :-)

                        That kept her glazing at me and stuttering… howhowhowmanymillion ? :-)

                        I think that will keep her quiet for a while ;-)

                          When you finally make some money? This is waste of time. You promise me to quit in January if you dont make any money.

                          Then I made my anual salary by trading BTC and FTC in one month, ordered a new car and said my boss I want to quit.
                          Now she is quiet :)

                            She replied that another brand then Fiat (car) was also fine by then…

                                  are those the best graphic cards to get? i am wanting to build something that can mine very very well, but not sure what the top of the line items are this month… any help on mother board, cards, cpu would be helpful

                                    Top of the line are R9 290 or 290x cards. Hard to get and pretty expensive by now.

                                      Yes because historically miners would have been better off using their funds to buy coins directly rather than mining them. But I always say it’s better to go for a diversified approach and perhaps this only represents 50% of your investment 8)

                                            Ok… but let’s be clear on this.

                                            This scenario only plays out when you mine the coins, and then hold on to them for a LONG time.

                                            If you cash out in 6 months, or the next time the market takes a major dip, WHICH IT WILL DO, you’re literally throwing your upside potential down the drain.

                                            Mining is great. It’s a great way to add value to your currency. But the only way to maximize that value is to hold onto them for the long haul, and push for their adoption.
