Solo mining
-
I have been mining for a while now and would like to try solo mining on the feathercoin client. I have researched for quite a while, but have not found any info that actually works. I have several rigs running and have one I am using as a server, but would like some direction on the code for solo mining. Any help and/or guidance towards the right direction would be most appreciated.

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9337
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0add this to a txt file, then rename the file to feathercoin.conf
place it inside the directory C:\Users\???\AppData\Roaming\Feathercoin (if on a windows os)
connect using your miner using the above address and credentials.
worked for me

rcallowip should be either localhost, or in case other riggs connecting the network range the other riggs are located in, typically the IP range of your home network

Thank you that really helped, I have them working. I’m using CGminer. Do you find your hash rate to be lower when solo mining as compared to mining in a pool?

This is a mining issue and should have been posted in Mining for the best response and forum clarity.
This area is support mainly for the Qt Wallet and feathercoind daemon related issues.

Thank you

Does it still worth to mine in solo ?
How much coins can we expect to get daily / weekly by solo mining ?

I’m not sure if solo mining would be wise unless you have a lot of mining power.
Better way is to use a pool, and at this point i would say use a p2pool. -
Thanks for the reply , i actually installing ( i try ) on my ubuntu x64 , let’s see :-)
Cheers !
