Script ASIC - Alpha Technologies

Sorry, didn’t see chatter on this yet.
They have two models due out in “Q2/Q3 of 2014”
Something everyone in this community should be watching to stay up to date. Is this a repeat of Butterfly Labs? Pricing wise, its pretty attractive as well as power usage.

Oops, forgot the link.

I’d find it hard to order on faith from any company that won’t show me pictures of the actual product.

5m/h for 1350… at todays rate that’s like 120 coins a day

I’m with ya, they are saying they will be updating soon. Its tough to trust these companies, but they have “partnered” with another company, that seems ok, but again, i’ve never heard of them before this company anyways.
-
Apparently all their stuff is sold out already, anyway?
I wonder how many they slated for launch.

They should be taking pre-orders within days…None of these Scrypt Asic produced any hard proof so far…

I’ve watching the scrypt asics from alpha and others been in development for a month or two now. I think it’s safe to say that halfway through next year we will see them starting to get released. Then about that time, we will see new algo’s come out. Once a bunch of asics for an algorithm come out, the next wave of coins on new algo’s will probably pop up.
Will probably see 70% of the scrypt coins die in the wake of which coins get the most amount of asic support.
The hobby miner will simply move on to the new algo coins that the asics can’t mine. With that said, I’m not really sure what will happen to Feathercoin.
These are all just guess’s based on a pretty major assumption (that these scrypt asics will spread far and wide). Also assuming that there’s newer and better algorithms for crypto’s that can be developed.
So if this all turns out to be true. Would we and or could we change feathercoins algorithm without screwing up the whole coin?
Devs. Whats your take?
