\[Solved\] Error opening block database. \* permissions
-
Have found it is permissions realated. I think we installed feathercoind with sudo. It runs OK as sudo feathercoind.
Cause of failure, got no bash history on ssh.

There appears to be a bug in feathercoind 0.8.5 (see below).
We are trying to get into setting up feathercoind, but am getting the same error.
Checked source and this should be fixed, as a bug in October, Bitcoin 0.8.5.
Same error or cause in Quarkcoin? Jan 2014.

possible solutions:
[s]Patch Bug fix. (repost in support when diagnosed)[/s]
feathercoind -checklevel=2[s]add -checklevel=2 to /.feathercoin/feathercoin.conf[/s]
My son and I are working on it on our system, not fixed so far. May have to re-download block chain.
[s]It is not a disk space issue. [/s]
It could be permissions (but shouldn’t be)
feathercoin was installed from the opensuse site.
