Finally found time to clean things up a bit, my new rigs (in the making)
-
So today I found this box of 3/4 x 3/4 galvanized angle iron someone was tossing way back when and I grabbed up for. . .well mining rigs of course . . .I just didn’t know it for a couple years till I tripped over it in my shop and had a brainstorm. So today I built a couple frames, one for a single PSU:

The second for a dual PSU setup with lots of room for the GPU’s to breath:

Hope to get one rig running in one of these tomorrow, then again it is tomorrow. . .

Looks good :) Do you always keep your tools that neat or is it just for camera lol

LOL, I’ve just been doing the same…
The Mrs came in to the office the other day and said it was time I had a tidy up, maybe a bit of a clear out! as at some point in the not to distant future we are hoping to move a little further down south and rent this place out.
So today I decided that it was time to tidy up, my latest mining rig ;D
It was looking like this

So a trip to the work shop, and a couple of hours later it now looks like this

What kind of hashrates are you getting out of those toxic’s and what voltage levels?
I’ve gotta do something similar, the milk crates are not doing it for me anymore…

muddy, few questions:- how much do you pay for those Toxics?
It depends, some times as low as £ 245/card I have a couple of trade accounts with some suppliers here in the UK
- where do you buy it and are they available?
They are in-stock at OCUK right now but they are pricey again this week at about £320 a card to the public
- how about hashrates/temps of those?
Again depends on how hard you push them, Those two doing 740Mh/s run at about 72[sup]o[/sup]C pulling 650 at the wall, I’ve tuned up a bit today to make up for lost time yesterday with the power cut and the rebuild of the rig so pulling 803Mh/s at about 73[sup]o[/sup]C pulling 780 at the wall.

Yay! Post No. 1000! WooHooo! :D

Congrats :D
740Kh/s will run at 1.2v set using cgminer
803Kh/s runs at 1.256v regardless of what you tell cgminer to do about it ::)When the new ones get here later in the week, I’m going to have a mess about with BIOS to see if I can’t get them a little more economical, so I’ll let you know.

I reckon you can get down to 1.075v easy…
uncle_muddy,
you really do make me laugh. i saw you in the video chatting with the barmaid, so I have this picture of you in my mind and I then paint in the Mrs. shaking her head as you begin explaining, to the young pretty plane jumping barmaid, all the intricacies of “silly coins” again and all I can do is laugh till my sides hurt.
I am really going to enjoy meeting you if I ever get to your part of the world. You would also always be a welcome guest in the mud hole we call Missouri should you ever come this way. We could talk silly coins for hours while the girls take care of the important things. . . .hahaha

I like your new rig frame, but the picture of the original is worth more!

Glad to be of service ;)
I did ask the Mrs if she wanted to come with me, and the response was “No, I’m working” followed by “enjoy your geek fest” so I got on the train and shot of to Oxford :)

And me you mate, I love meeting new people with interests similar to mine, and the internet has made that so much easier these days. I go over to Florida quite a bit as my big bro lives out there, and you gotta drink beer with your bro at least once a year… it’s the law!!

Mate, all my rigs start off the same whilst they are being setup and tweaked. Then they get framed and sent away to be feed and watered by someone else ;)
