BAMT but with custom options
-
Okay, so I went ahead and gave BAMT a try since I had nothing to lose on a rebuild anyway, and I have it up and a bunch of pools plugged in and it’s working buuuuutttt…
1. Seeing status in a web browser is neat, but I like having access to the miner proper through the command line in order to make changes headless. Throw in a pool, switch a pool, that sort of thing. Any way to do that?*
2. On that note, I’m told to use sgminer instead of cgminer with appropriate settings can give EVEN BETTER performance. Thing is, this is so plug-n-play easy_I don’t even know what I’m running _and that’s embarassing. I did edit a conf labeled cgminer but that means nothing if they use the same conf file in the same location named the same thing. How would I change this thing over?
3. OH! CPUmining. I generally push something like that towards MOON or other tiny coins. Anyone successfully used cpuminer on BAMT?
Thanks for any input.
*1. Found lilyth’s pool manager, that’ll do for that:

2. kalroth’s cgminer, anyone got positive results from it? I think BAMT is just running 3.7.2 stock. Tried following this guy’s directions:
http://zsprawl.com/iOS/2014/02/scrypt-coin-mining-with-two-threads-on-an-amd-7950/
At 630khs a card, was 660khs when I was running cgminer 3.1 in xubuntu.
Oh wait, another reboot might’ve done it. Will monitor.
