Mr Wyrm?
Is that a dig? ???

Bush spoke of a testcoin we could mess with…
Maybe we could play with the tor idea using this new “testcoin”

I’m posting to bring this Thread up. It’s a possible worthwhile suggestion project / idea / information.
FTC need a suggestions thread moderator / members - to highlight / post to bring up / any worthwhile suggestions / projects / trawl through - Just in case any new members are considering similar ideas.
Or it’s already been asked, what happened? etc.
If auditing - make sure you post to old thread not make a new one …

mhh, there is a configuration parameter allowing connections through tor.
So is it implemented, or is the topic to integrate a tor client directly into the wallet?
didn’t read the codes sniplets… -
https://github.com/torcoindev/torcoin
3 years since last development - Torcoin didn’t get much traction? I’m glad we didn’t integrate that code, or is it on the Dark github now?

I don’t see a need to implement it. If someone want’s to use Tor, he/she can install a standard tor client and use the wallet through that client.
The Tor installation is straight forward and easy. -
[FAQ] How do I run Feathercoin through Tor? Needs Testing!
After starting Tor and getting the port :
Go to “Settings” in the menu bar, “Network” tab. Check the SOCKS proxy tickmark, set IP as 127.0.0.1, port as 9150, with version 5.
For Feathercoind / Feathercoind-cli
Run feathercoind -proxy=127.0.0.1:9150 (or whatever the tor port is)

Just to seek some clarity; according to the FAQ, FTC can run through TOR, but is this the same as the TOR implementation seen on other privacy coins? If FTC had the same capabilities as those coins then it would be a real winner. There’s about half a dozen going that route, including Verge, Monero, etc.

From my research those coins just automated routing through Tor. Be interested to know if any other benefit from Tor was involved.
