IMPORTANT - Value Add - Feathercoin for Musicians

I’ll need some help formulating an intro.
maybe we take this offline and discuss ‘introduction’ ideas?I’ll have to answer a ton of questions, first one being why should\would we?, and how do we get real money?
lol

Knife Party is selling their album for BTC this week and another artist came out last night offering 50% their release if purchased w/BTC (see me blog). The Indie/small label music scene’s definitely interested in crypto’s.

Tuck, 370H55V and of course Nikel… I’d like to bring you guys into this process. Wesphily, would love your input as well… I just know you’re busy with 9! people on the merchant services team.

This is a really good idea, if we get the first few bands accepting it more will come automatically.
But if anything will happen, it will first have to be easy to adopt.
So 1 click or qr-code scan and a wallet should pop-up with payment address already filled in. -
This will require the Android wallet currently out there to be updated to the new client and for an IOS wallet to be written too.
Has anyone heard from Hank (Android Wallet coder) since the fork?

Tuck,
Do you know these bands personally?
I wish!

How about some kind of universal template that could be applied to other forms of entertainment, like Kickstarter’s model?
X number of Feathercoins to get the band to play at a certain venue or to release a CD. Once a project is funded we could have a ‘Funded by Feathercoin’ banner/button.
You can take the X FTC and convert to cash on Vircurex without having to educate anyone about BTC. We have to make the process as painless as possible.

that’s sort of what I was thinking.
That band then can be used to market the fact that FTC funded their cd recording etc.
band could donate sales proceeds back to another FTC band, or into FTC dev etc. -
Yes Yes! Love it… I’ll be incorporating all the ideas in the rough draft.
-
I’m ready to present this to my musician circles once we have a plan down. Until then I’ll let the collective minds do their genius :)
I’m just a musician lol :) -
checking in on this. thinking about trying to get a FTC funded video
May post on bitcointalk. My suggestions are:
A FTC sponsored video featured on the opening credits of the video. However has to be done in such a way that the video doesn’t come off like a total ‘sellout’ to ftc sponsor (or any sponsor for that matter)I think it has to be presented similar to a kickstarter campaign
If the opening credits were used to educate and introduce the FTC funded artists initiative (insert your own FTC project name here)
then… presenting the world first 100% Funded cryptocoin rock video.
Exclusively funded by the feathercoin crypto currencysomething like that anyway…
Furthermore, I believe this needs to be presented on a separate domain, with a cool name etc, donate FTC button etc. new artist application forms etc.
I would love to have my band ‘toxsyn’ be the 1st band out of the gates on this initiative.
fyi, I am headed to Kentucky next week to record 4 songs with my US producer, then back to Canada to mix and master my debut cd for my band, second video to be shot mid july\early august.
Conservative budget for a fully produced cd by a reputable producer is $2500 CAD in my case.
A fully produced video is $1000. -
i agree with Zero–if musicians can live on the road with feathercoins–this would also pave the way for all others to be able to live exclusively on Feathercoins as well.
like i said in one of my earlier posts–i agree with you justabit–it will take alot of hard work and in some cases delevopment–one thing i saw that was consistently hard on people trying/doing living on BTC was Gas and Transportation.
Maybe one day, one of us will discover how to turn feathers into a usable bio fuel.
