      I’m looking at buying a 7950, and see quite a lot, any comments on this particular one:

            Yeah agreed on XFX card cooling. On my gaming rig I ended up liquid cooling those. Their cooling isn’t as great stock.

                Avoid XFX, they are crap, I use Gigabyte myself. My coolest card runs 664 Khash on 61C.

                I wonder could one, tweak an XFX and add more thermal paste? Make it a better card?

                  I’m running only one card at the mo, and it’s an XFX (XFX Radeon HD 7950 Core Edition 900MHZ 3GB 5.0GHZ GDDR5). It’s been pretty good tp me so far - consistently 650 KH/s at around 71c (I have a table top fan aimed at the rig or it’d probably be hotter).

                  I just received two new MSI 7950’s that I hope to implement before this weekend upcoming - I’ll let you know if they they have better throughput or run cooler.

                    I have 6 MSI 7950s (TF3). They get me just under 670 Kh/sec while undervolted to 1087 mV. I can push them a little bit higher if I run at stock voltages, but the increase in power consumption isn’t worth it.

                      @DigitalDoom

                      What sort of powersupply are you running with these? I have a 1250 w/ 4 of these Gigabyte 7950 and I’ve been able to tune them to almost 600 kh/s but I’m sucking the power supply dry. A bit more than I’d ever realized.

                      I think I’m going to have to put in a second power supply just to run all four. Right now I can only run 3 at full tilt before I start hitting the upper limit of the power supply. Not sure if I’ve done something wrong here though. I was considering dropping a 5th video card in my rig before I ran into this issue.
