ok im a bit confused now, everytime the “unknown” finder comes up in their webpage is same time i get the cpu validation error and/or have the command prompt display show reduced hashes with a accepted and when the web page shows a negative number as it is moving on to the next round–those 3 variables are exact every time the “unknown” shows up in the web page. i have watched the webpage while i was not mining and no “unknowns” show up–i start mining and they become present---- means something wrong with my software or config even with autotune on or something with pool software doesnt like my setup or software or config. its at least paying the pool still but im worried thats its me that is causing this error and i would like to resolve it somehow if possible.

We will readd Feathercoin mining under certain limitations.
There will be no PPS system available for FTC.
We will catgorize our pools coins into secur&stable, stable, experimental.
These categories will be base for the fees and the available payoutmodes.

There are also Pools around which pay after a certain time interval, so you dont have to wait until block is solved. This usually works only on plain PPS pools.
These kind of pools always deliver the same payouts no matter if they find a block or not.

Calculator on the stats page are working only for PPLNS, dont take in into account if you using PPS payout.
Also it using current pool hashrate and approximate block finding time with this rate, so if pool have small speed it can greatly mistaken. I dont undestand why you hashrate is smaller than real, there are very simply formula for rate calculating. It only counting number of shares received from you for last 10 minutes. Say for my workers its calc just right, with say ±15% range because variance of share time.
And for last, as i see, some users for last days sending a lot of invalid shares, like two-thirds of its overal number, its also can be reason of smaller payments, because pool not counting invalid shares.

Do you have Xcode installed with Command Line tools?

cgminer crashes. WONT WORK.

cgminer works with the 7950’s but not with the 5870, works with ANY 3 cards, but not the 4th. It will detect just fine, it actually can be seen in MSI afterburner. ANytime it launches, trying to access more than 4 cards, it crashes.

they aren’t. I can get 3 running in one instantce, then the next one is seperate but won’t even load (crashes in windows)

I thought it was a power issue, but the asrock board has molex to board PCIe. I am left wondering if the 85x chipset can’t support this becuase of the iGPU (which is disabled anyways) or if its the 1x slots don’t work correct or?

I am running out of ideas

I mean look at the hash rate distribution, most people are waaay under that and you must assume that if they have slow speeds and are mining solo it is working out for them. I have enough power to be in spot 6 of the has rate distribution and I have found a block in my first 4 hours so I think your statement is a little false and maybe even misleading so people don’t try to solo mine!?

Day 1 was good but then it all went to crap (at one point i went 29 hours without a block) and went back to the pool mining. I have 15MHs+ and should of had a block every 7 hours.

pool mining or p2pool is your friend IMHO.

Oh, and you can have stratum whilst solomining with cgminer by specifying a second pool in your config that has stratum and use the --failover-only switch. it will mine to the primary pool (your wallet) but pull stratum from the secondary pool. As for Vardiff - your solomining behind your wallet so you will be mining at the ftc diff level.

Pools calculate your hash rate based on actual shares submitted. If you hit a lucky streak, the pool will think you’re hashing faster than you really are. CGMiner is correct, in that that’s your actual hash rate. The pool is correct to, in that that’s the rate you’re actually finding blocks at. So really, both are right… in the moment. Give it 10 minutes and refresh the pool: I’m betting it will come down to be closer to your actual hash rate.
