Hi there I have 2 xfx 290x units and I can only get 750 tops using the settings in this thread. Maybe it is the cgminer version we are using?
I was expecting 1000 or so

[/quote]I used 3.4.1 before and test 3.6.2 and 3.7.2 all get similar result . what is your version?

My only other guess is that your card is throttling. Can you get GPU tweak and see if your speed stays at 1000MHz or close to it? If it is dropping by a fair amount you may need to turn up the fans higher. Yes it sounds like a hairdryer but its the only way to keep temperatures in check.
