i think you could. but that you could be into a bag og hurt stability/driver vice…
in theory yes. in pracsis, meeeh.

why not just sell the 670 and buy a new 280X (7970 with 750khash)?
I think I just might.
it’s time for a system format anyways, so driver installations won’t be a problem.

Is your wallet open all the time?

And does it say you have found a block or that there is a block found? Cause all the block that are found will show up in your CGMiner screen because it updates the difficulty and the next block you are going to solve.

However, what hashrate do you run right now because the chance of getting a block fast are pretty low.

Doesn’t really make a difference. I tend to make a new worker per rig. That way, if a rig crashes, I get the email alert that tells me which one. A worker per card would be a real PITA for me to manage with 24 cards (and growing!) ;)

    • H

Kill-A-Watt - don't leave plugged in with the rig constantly I guess, huh?

What do you call a decent graphics card? P4’s and decent graphics cards aren’t usually in the same sentence. To give you an idea, I mine with r9 280x Matrix Platinums and 7970’s OC’d to the max and on average it will take me 12 days to find a block.

If you are soloming, yes you need a block to get ANY ftc. it’s all or nothing.

Pool mining means you get some FTC everytime “someone” on the pool gets a block. Or there a PPS pool, where you are paid for every share you submit regardless of whether a block is found or not.

I doubt, that you will see any activity on the pool statistics.

The pool calculates it’s stats based on the number of shares you submit and with that low hashrate CPU mining provides, it happens most of time, that you’ll see a message 'new block found before your system has finished it’s calculations and is able to submit a share.
Thanks for the consolation. Now I am moving to another server which might be able to offer me a better hash and a better acceptance rate

I wouldn’t even bother trying to mine with cpu/gpu simultaneously. Your proc will likely run around 55 kH/s, so I would stick with the GPU and tweak that for performance and stability. I hope someone with the expertise comes along to really answer your question though :)

Hi and welcome!e great looking PC spec.

Anyway here is a thread you should read. If you had some trouble click that link (I admit that I tried it 3 times before realizing), try this one:

From my understanding, Fastcoin mining should be the same because it’s also a scrypt based coin.

I use GUIminer to start my proxy, but cause I have an nVidia card, I use cudaminer. (until my partner decided to format and now our gaming PC is offline for the time been…frowny face)

Can’t really comment on speed though.
